Turning All Minecraft Blocks Into Mobs. Mining is a core mechanic of Minecraft, but so is fighting. So what if all blocks were mobs / living entities with an AI? This is similar to the Dream and GeorgeNotFound challenge where blocks attack you / fight back / damage you, except this time around they have feelings and it's all blocks in the world! This is so cursed.
This is a Minecraft mod / modded Minecraft 1.16 and 1.17 challenge, and it could be interesting to see a speed run / speed runner try this mod and beat the game this way.

Would be pretty accurate to real fires. That and a burned or charred version of certain blocks when there's been a fire there would make forest fires quite realistic.

@Jeff The entity's Y position would eventually exhaust the range of a 32-bit float and be treated as Infinity. It's likely that sending drawcalls to the GPU with malformed float coordinates, as a result of the position being passed down via shaders, will crash.

Loved the video! I've seen people make stuff with custom plugins, but i've wanted to see someone make videos with full on custom mods for a while now. Also, not sure if this is exactly video material, but it would be funny to see every structure/feature generate in every chunk, or maybe just woodland mansions if that's not possible. In my idea of making all the blocks mobs, I tried to make a chance/percentage of breaking any block turn into a new mob. The mob would be a cube shape or would roll up into a 1x1 block or up to 1x2x3 block. Some blocks were possessed by some being like a sentient red stone or a magical lapis. The other creatures took the form of animals that are boxy or blocky, a different design from the vanilla animals.
