Thanks Brian, I only used CA and not saw dust and CA as I wanted the dark inclusion to stand out. Sometimes nature gives us a little surprise in the middle of a piece of wood which we can use to our advantage. Take care mate. Cheers, Huw

Great Huw style video, straight into it all the necessary info and great product at the end of it. No messing around. I really like the time lapse shots you can see the pen appear from two blocks of wood in seconds! Interesting to see your problem solving with the defect in the wood, top work, i am going to steal that idea. You are going to need a lot of pens for that many shows. Hi Andy, Thanks so much for a great comment. I normally speed the video up during turning and go to normal speed if I need to explain anything. People normally fill a void like that with saw dust from the piece of wood and CA but I only used CA so that the dark wood of the inclusion would stand out and become a feature. Hi Luie, Yes they fit on a standard mandrel but can also be used between centers. I'm fairly well up on what I need to get done no so no major panic at the moment. If the first big one goes well I still have a few days between that and the next one to make some more. Don't get me wrong, I love making the videos but they really are time consuming.
