I'd love to see a sort of versus episode where each of you guys are given some secret code word or phrase, and take turns using a variety of interrogation methods (that aren't physically scarring) to try to get the other person to say what their secret code is. One of a Rogues primary responsibilities is information gathering, and sometimes you have to get your hands dirty. I think it'd be a fun episode, at least for us. Lol.

Oh wow that's a creepy but neat idea, KZbin would FLIP. OUT. They're so ...rigid and un-fun these days, but yeah I can see them thinking that's an evil evil episode, even with "how to dissolve bodies" being a thing. Creepy neat idea though. I'm a chronic pain patient, and one of my research studies into pain was how military are trained to resist multiple forms of torture. It was a horrific study, the content was terrifying, the things people come up with to hurt each other, both ancient torture and modern techniques that "technically" aren't physically harmful but cause tremendous stress and exhaustion. It's infuriating that the medical definition of pain is nearly identical to the medical definition of an itch. Science has proven that the longer you're in pain, the lower your pain threshold and tolerance become, but also long term exposure to pain can bring the mind to a point where it's better able to handle it, which is odd and contradictory. We know that pain increases when you know it's going to happen, but there's also things like how sudden the pain engages the more painful it is at the onset then we adapt to it, bringing it down from say an eight to a six or five once the initial burst of shock is out of the way. Babbling, anyway great and creepy idea. They could maybe use the military's examples of how to resist torture of every kind, mental and physical, and examine how and why the techniques operate the way they do. Best wishes, hope we don't get tortured.

Not bad but my best friend and I made something a little better in middle school. It was so effective that he accidentally shattered his front door with it. It required a single piece of 1/2 inch copper pipe, a latex gloves that we cut the finger off and then attached the finger to to the pipe using a hose clamp. The pipe doesn't need to be that long since it isn't using forced air to accelerate the projectile down a long barrel like a bullet in a rifle, just a long enough to grip comfortably. We even modified a few with copper T connector and a second small pipe to use as a handle making it pistol shaped with the glove finger clamped directly to the back of the copper T connector with the hose clamp. We would shoot each other with those little blue Juniper Berries and they would sting like hell. Ahh the 90's were fun BTW, our design would have protected Jason's hands and you wouldn't have had to roll back the injury counter. Still super happy that even as kids, we were on the same wavelength as present day Modern Rogues!

Oh hey, I remember making those balloon slingshots back when I was a kid. Instead of those Key ring things, we used the cut off mouth piece from those 25 cents colored drinks ( think it was called Punch? ). And as for ammo, we used dried beans (mainly kidney beans). The large mouth piece from the cut off bottles makes aiming and shooting easy, while the kidney beans gives it better grip and a much deadlier punch; plus it's fun seeing the bean splatter to pieces when shot.

That was fun. I did check out Evan and Katelyn's channel. I've been thinking about NordVPN. And I'm glad you guys listened to me and everyone else who said you need to wear goggles... basically all the time. If you guys are reading something on camera, wear goggles. If you're folding paper, wear goggles. It would make all of us who watch you and care about you feel so much better. Back in high school, people used to make folded paper "wasps" and use rubber bands to launch them at each other... until someone upped the ante and folder a safety pin inside one of the "wasps" point facing out. I don't know what happened after that, but people stopped using even the regular wasps after that, so I'm thinking that the pin wasp probably caused some kind of ban in school. (I was a good kid and so didn't pay much attention to what was banned. I pretty much assumed that whatever I was doing was fine. I would likely get in trouble today...)
@Dewm_6 жыл бұрын
How I used to do it back in the day was actually cut off about an inch (or about 5cm?) below the neck of a plastic bottle, and then get the balloon (uncut) around the neck of the cut bottle. The rounded bit you left acts like a grip to counter the force of pulling it back; allowing you to be more stable; and having the full length of the balloon meant you can get a really powerful shot. We used to use pebbles for ammo; and when taking shots, you had to be careful to aim it centered so it didn't hit the rim of the bottle. This meant that it forced us to repeat it a certain way building up muscle memory and in turn making it easier to get really accurate with them. Also shotgunning it didn't work? If ya ever revisit this; I would say try out this build; I used to shotgun it all the time. Note: Holding on the spare bit helps with the pull-back, the left over neck allows you to keep your grip after launching for firing again quick. Ideal pullback length should be about 40cm or more.

In school, we always called the rubberband and paper thing 'shooting hornets'. Old West Soda Sheriff is my Halloween costume next year. And without compromising the structural integrity of the balloon by cutting it.

5:14 Aw man! dang it, that was easily the new Injury Counter record, like 1/3 of a year!
@ThommeGun4 жыл бұрын
better way to do this is with the mouth of a gatorade bottle. the plastic ring that comes with it is really good at keeping the balloon attached, the bigger mouth makes it easier to get a more stable grip, and the cap is a good way to keep the it filled with ammo so you can just have it in your pocket as you walk around your private property and practice your shooting safely. if you wanna get some serious power, use one of the punch balloons (the ones that come with a rubber band), note that this is better for when you are using heavier/longer ammo.

@lifeontwowheels31046 жыл бұрын
I think it's better to use a wide-mouthed plastic bottle cap for this (just cut a hole on the top of the cap). The hole is wider, the cap has ridges, and it's thicker than the key rings making them much easier to hold. I used them and never had a misfire. Also beans are better projectiles than plastic BB's. The BB's are too light. We used to spend hours in the backyard shooting targets as kids.
@lucassvedlund38516 жыл бұрын
If you’re looking for a similar weapon use a i recommend a metal pipe not too long and if you get these often yellow household gloves then if you cut one finger of it best is probably thumb or middle finger and stretch that over the pipe and use some good string tape to tape it in place and you got a different version of the same weapon they made me and my buddies used to shot raw peas or uncooked peas and that works great you can shoot metal bb s and normal bb s everything that isn’t sharp on one end so you can load it will work👍🏻 EDIT: remember it can cause serious damage if you hit the wrong places so be careful no safety gear needed if you have the most important safety gear which is your brain! EDIT 2: sometimes the finger will go through the pipe so you need to push it back and what we found out while playing with them is that just putting the opening against you mouth and blow works best be use if you cut the pipe and it has sharp edges you will probably cut your fingers trying to push it in and I shouldn’t have to say that you have like some fingers between you and the pipe when you blow to but cut your lips and the pipe length we used was maybe 4-7 cm idk not to long and not to short if you want bigger area to hold make it a bit longer and vice versa👍🏻

I've built one of these before but instead of the ring thing that they're using, I was using the top 1/3 of the water bottle and a rubber band or string to tie it. With the water bottle, you can have a handle and probably a good precision. Try it.

We used to call those rubber band and wadded piece of paper hornets at my high school. Was fun trying to get each other in between classes.

We used to do this with kids, but with short lengths of garden hose. You can just hold the balloon on, and it helps you aim. Gooseberries were our ammo.

We used to make similar weapons in 3rd grade. We cut the top off of the balloon and tape it to the end of a toilet paper tube which acts as a bit of a barrel. We even used to shoot bang snaps. It works but is trickier since it can easily go off prematurely in the balloon...

Use bottle caps, cut out the center, rubber balloon stretched from inside to outside, thick rubber bands to keep in place on cap(+grip), ... NOW USE BARBECUE SKEWERS

Late to the party, maybe, but Brian's double-shot at 12:22 actually hit the table before it hit the cans....

So you're making a home made version of a Pocket Shot.

It’s easy to aim if you cut on the top of a Gatorade bottle and use that has the piece you hold. Kinda got to work at sharp edges, but in the end it’s a lot easer to aim.

I did these all the time when I was a kid. The main difference is that we used cut up soda bottles instead of those rings.

When I was little, we used balloons, toilet paper rolls and duck tape. We fired popcorn kernels

Get a small bit of pvc pipe and tape the balloon to the end. It helps with accuracy. We used to shoot beans and popcorn among other things at each other. It hurt like crap when you got hit!
