I love turning trash to treasure.. When I was a kid my father and I would drive around the neighborhood on garbage night and pull all kinds of gas engine items and bring them home and get them running then sell them in garage sales. I still do it today. Lots of fun and rewarding as well. Is there a ton of money to be made? NO. But its still fun. Love the vids Bre keep em coming please. CHICKANICS MECHANICS RULE.😎

I believe the flywheel issue was the integrated keyway was shearing off, causing no-start/no-run issues due to the timing being thrown off. I am not 100% sure, BUT I think the newer flywheel may have gone away from integrated keys. Or they figured out a way to make them better. I know a small lawn business, and he almost exclusively runs the 225s day in and day out. Other than a periodic stuck ring, they really haven't had many problems outside of routine maintenance/wear items.

My neighbor has half a dozen generators that quit working. Most of them were dual fuel that she only ran on propane. I’m figuring that I can make at least 3-4 good generators out of them. Living off grid, you can’t have to many generators, as long as they run that is.

When cutting brush I have always found it better to not try to saw the brush but to rev the motor and give the head a good 2 foot running go "bump" into the brush just above ground level. We have cut pine trees up to 2 inches this way and have not damaged the shaft or cable in any way. Sometimes it takes 5 or 6 "bumps" on the bugger stuff.

Bre...That's what I love about Echo. When they find something that works they don't keep messing it with "upgrades" that aren't compatible with what is out there. One big mistake was changing the split crankcase CS-4910 to the clamshell CS-4920. The gains people were getting out of modifying the CS-4910 were unreal!
