Nice video bro. Consider putting the shells in a food blender like a magic bullet. Keep up the great work! Nice editing and your voiceovers are even better than NileRed's! I've never seen the use of a three-necked flask for quicker filtration before. I'm surprised none of the other chemists on KZbin thought about it... I certainly didn't!

Years ago, an old man threw his egg shells in the compost pile, that had chicken wire around it to keep the animals out. He thought the egg shells were the secret ingredient in the compost. he did not do any special processing (that I knew about).

What's up with chemists and blowtorches to (quote) "speed things up"? :) By the way, my mum has been collecting egg shells for quite some time now. We have about 1-2 kilos of empty shells and they take up a lot of space - one full trash can bag under the dinner table. Turning it to calcium acetate will definitely improve my kitchen's room management
