The word "fiasco" comes from the Italian word for flask. When a glass blower had a failure, it became "a flask". A fiasco. "Candy dish failure" strikes a fair chord with this.

Hi, greetings from Colombia, impresive print, a lot of trial and error, but amazing finished print. Saving up to be able to get my hands on a palette. Do you mind answering the following questions: 1)¿where is the purge tower? 2)¿Does the palette newer model get rid of the purge tower 3) I always understood until januar 2021 (last time i searched for multicolor 3dprinting systems) that the technology is not to the point of getting rid of the purge tower, ¿am I wrong? 4) ¿color scheme chosen was intentional to get rid of the purge tower? 5) ¿if color scheme was vertical, the print would need a purge tower? 6) ¿if we try this same print in a prusa/any other printer with the prusa multi color/material system we would get same results? Thanks for all your time, dedication and effort in making all the great content for this amazing world of 3dprintng.

I found this video too late to enter the contest, but we actually ordered a Pallette 3 already specifically for the purpose of making filament rolls like this one. Our Filablend prints are always our most popular in our shop for the multicolor look, but we wanted to be able to choose the colors ourselves, and especially with the uncertainty over Filablend’s future and when they will come back and in what form, it seemed like the best way to take control of our own supply production. Really cool to see proof of the concept in this video!

I do not know the actual term for them, or where I saw them -- I _think_ it was in New Mexico many years ago -- but it reminds me of the "sand paintings" (sculptures?) in which different colors of sand are layered one upon another.

last time i tryed to do something similar on my ender 3 by just shoving random pieces of filement into extruder, with vase mode filement don't even have to be connected because no retractions happen during print well last time i had a failure based ondifferences in filement bonding temperatures, it printed beautyfully but the moment i tryed to pick it up it exploded and turned into a spring moral was never to print with 3d pen included pla but it did look nice

Wait did you just sneak past us the ability to fuse two lengths of filament using the Palette unit. How did you get those short lengths of filament in different colors onto that one spool? I mean is this the answer to having spools with short lengths of filament and being able to fuse them together to make up a long spool of filament. Does Palette have a dedicated fusing filament unit? I see a cup of joelarge coffee in your future.
