Erm so a little correction😀☝🏻 the voice claim for Max is supposed to be Rottytops-Shantae: Half Genie Hero and not Suzy's voice claim. I could've sworn I edited the text there but I guess not💀 my bad. Also I'm not super familiar with most of the characters these claims are taken from. I just watched a bunch of voice compilations and picked out what voice and line fit the characters lol

Gyaru is about going against Japanese beauty standards, getting a tan is important cause it’s about being pale in Asia. Gyaru styles also have to do with class, tans in Asia are associated with being poor and Gals short for Gyarus (kinda) pick stand out outfits. In Asia poorer ppl are expected to hide, and suck up. The bright colors were meant to go against the muted colors that were and are popular. The reason why Gyaru styles have expanded is because it comes from ppl who got tans and those who didn’t like to lighten their skin. It also crossed with Kawaii culture, that started with a difference in writing, it was a font. It later went into fashion and the difference in Kawaii/Harujuku culture and Gyaru/Gal culture is generally that Gal styles are sexier in the way we think of it and Harujuku is conservative. Not in feeling btw just in the cuts of clothing, and it varies of course. Decora btw is referring to the outwits with many charms and nick naks on the outfits of people. Gal and Gyaru btw come from a bastardization of the English word Girl like gender not Gal like “Hey Gal”; And Ganguro I think that it used to be more distinct but is now treated like Gal and Gyaru, common names for the style. Big I think btw. Also when you look up Ganguro yes the entomology is black/dark/tan and face/skin/body BUT this is the name of the Yama-Uba a creature in folklore. Not a reference to the racist character art. The style was against Asian beauty standards that have been established for centuries and the effect of white peoples with the echos of White supremacy left in Japan and Asia as a whole. I love your art your ocs are really cool!! Little precision tho (as a French person) coquette doesn't mean flirtatious it's a word used to describe girls who take care a whole lot of their appearances and makes sure she's always perfect. It kinda has a negative connotation like "ooh she's acting precious" or someone being superficial and only caring about their beauty and how they're perceived. I do personally believe that comes from sexism but anyway just wanted to share the info8 good day to all 👋

For the last names I either googled "Chinese/Korean/Japanese last names" or a basic name generator, and picked whatever sounded good with the existing first names. And for the superhero names I googled "superhero name generator". I cannot find the link for some reason, but it was pretty good. I could type what kind of power the character has and stuff and it gave a name based on that. But I can't find it in my search history for some reason😫
