That is a fantastic sounding pad my friend. I am totally surprised you only have three videos and only 89 subscribers (90 now. Lol.). Please keep making content on your channel. You sound very professional and charismatic. Assuming you continue to have good content and you stick with it, I foresee this channel growing a lot. It’ll be fun to see what happens.

Bro Appreciate the knowledge of sampling a sound from the Moog and turning it into a poly wave synth. What’s amazing is that I was looking at video content for the Matriarch and it’s a BEAST! I will be purchasing one soon for that real Bass Synth, leads and customization. I’m in the process of redoing my whole setup and I’m keeping it simple but very powerful. I want that analog in your face but with BIG OPEN synth arrangements. Lastly I’m switching to logic I’ve avoided this DAW for long time but now I’m sold on it it has made some huge leaps as for creating and the big 2 “Sampling , Chord Arrangements. I’m going to check you out as for logic teaching. My Genre is RnB old school arrangement with a twist of the new, Sound Designing Hip Hop, J Dilla boom bap, and etc… Great Video

@@SoloRay yip, it is out of the box and sat above the polybrute on the rack. First impressions..................you can't mistake a moog. Got the CP251 out and wired it up within a few hours and spent the night droning with both synthesizers. I always suspected this would be a great partnership..............Polybrute and Matriarch............. I am cracking on but fekk it man, I am in the fantasy realm of Emerson again. Got to get my head around the way that the paraphony triggers but all in all I do LOVE the synth already.

I think the Moog sounds fantastic on it's own, but it would be interesting to compare the sampled (poly) Moog with a virtual analog poly also through supermassive...would one be able to hear a difference and spot the Matriarch in a blindtest? Surley not in a mix... not critising the process, just wondering.
@SoloRay
@SoloRay 3 жыл бұрын

@ztkspace5885

I think as live sounds go as you're there in the room with the volume set at a level you can have a decent relationship with, you're always going to be able to tell the difference between moog hardware and a pad derived from a moog sample. There is something about the Radio Shack components that give a subtle movement and nuance,- creamy texture in a live situation that a sample cannot reciprocate but, only speaking from the point of view of someone that has traversed the radio spectrum right out into space so some might differ where the ear has a distinct gift of picking up so much from electronic music. Still though, I wouldn't balk at the idea of listening to music where the orchestration sounds wonderful in entirity and appreciated as a whole effort. You don't look at a painting by Yves Tanguy and target a particular corner to interrogate the pixelation?

Love the sound you created but unless you need more notes than four it's quite easy to get amazing lush pads directly with matriarch, especially with Reverb added
@SoloRay
@SoloRay 3 жыл бұрын
Technically yes, though in my opinion it's not very useful as you'll be restricted to one oscillator per note and your release times will end as soon as you play another note. But yes it is possible to do some very basic pads on the matriarch itself.

Hello! Thanks for nice video, I just realized Matriarch's output is not very loud as my expected, do you also crank up some volume on preamp or main volume? Or mostly boost digitally on DAW?
@SoloRay
@SoloRay 3 жыл бұрын
Oh strange. I recorded this one through two API 512c's but I didn't add level really. Are you recording your matriarch straight into your interface? That should be plenty of level, but if it's still quiet, then I'd guess there's something else in the signal chain that's causing problems. If you're using a DI maybe check if there's a pad on? Tell me more about your setup and I'll get you sorted out!
