The first Allnighters were put on by Paul Donnelly and Peter Mindaham under The East Anglian Soul Club, then rival promoter Ken Cox registered the name and the lads had to change the name to Phoenix Soul Club, Steve was more into funk and then jazz funk Happy Days

I stand corrected, although Steve Allen also knew his Northern Soul as well. I remember him playing The Right Track - Billy Butler in 1973 amongst others.
