Interesting video. Grew up in Aberdeen, lived there till 15 years ago. When you pulled at the west at the west sale barn.I knew right where it was. I grewup not far from the south barn. Back in the 1960 s use to be a ckicken hattery on the corner of 5th st and Melgraurd road. Houses were built there in the 1970's. When Iwas 15, my mother took me to the south sale barn to learn how to drive. I guess if you grow up on a farm/ranch you learn to drive a tractor when your 10. Been watching since 100 -200 subscribers. Keep the videos coming.Always good to learn about how the rest of the world lives.

Tell You're Dad Dane that that was really interesting i liked that we got to see the sale barn and the way he explained everything after the sale its good to see selling off the animals that not productive anymore Those bull's were going at it in the trailer you wouldn't want to get in their way its a good job you have a really good trailer He was saying he's turning out 21 bull's do you hire bull's as well as sharing with neighbours or have you you're own 21 that's a lot of bull's Really enjoyed watching your videos Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮

Wow, over 1.00 for cull cows. That’s double what I was paying a few years ago. Culls have always been an important part of our processing. We reform them for improvement for 6 mo and get some hamburger, hotdogs and jerky out of them. The ones that were very low choice grade, about the best you’ll get out of them, we do “tavern beef.” About the level of steak you’ll get from a tavern or diner. Not bad, just not what you get from a high end steak house. We do hit all ends of the spectrum on our place. From full blood wagyu from our own herd, to wagyu Jersey cross, and dexters for seed stock aimed at homestead level customers who want multi purpose animals.

With sharing bulls, do you guys have to let them recover some between herds, or are they good to go? How many bulls per cow ratio? You have a system I'm hoping to work toward.

well done, when the cow has reached her end, we need to sell them to barn, so we can spend less money on them ;)
