Bring the L/R back down to ear level. Your base level should all be at ear level.

Just a standard stereo setup. Sorry to be picky but you don’t have rear channels. Nice setup though.

Uh.. They are building their setup a little at a time. If you have watched the videos they are uploading part one was getting electrical to the projector and mounting a screen, then the speakers and then the lights around the screen. It's going in steps which is very reasonable as if you heard they are on a budget. So I'm sure at some point rear speakers will be addressed and if not... It's the owners choice. Home Theater setups in my experience are NOT cookie cutter, so your vision or expectation of one is not the same for everyone.

Actually no, that’s not a problem. They’re array speakers therefore it throws the sound evenly. They’re the same style speakers used at concerts.

@Fixing Up the Wright Way that's fine for a huge area ( concert hall ) but for Home Theatre specs they should be unidirectional so basically the sound it directed straight at the main listening area ( MLA ). I mean technically you'll get sound and it's functional but those speakers really should be lowered and if money allows thrown in the trash and get either Towers or bookshelf speakers.. No hate my friend just some constructive criticism

The bottom 2 on each side is tilted to point at the MLA and the top two of the array fills the back of the room by the bar. I have a 7.1 system (surround front and back, front fill book case, center channel, and sub) in the upstairs room and this array setup fits and fills the basement better. Thanks for the advice though.

I get what you're saying but if it makes him happy that's what matters it's not like y'all pay his bills lol. Let the man enjoy himself and his sound system. Not everyone has to follow the book over speaker placement.

He’s just trying to give the guy advice on how it will most likely sound better. Even though they are arrays they should still be mounted at the middle of the screen on either side. It will create a better soundstage and center image.
