Great programme and great analysis by guests. (1) Yusuf Erim is a government (thus Erdogan's) employee and spokesman, so his views are heavily biased and thus irrelevant here. (2) Provinces where CHP has won local elections produce more than 70% of Turkish GDP, meaning that AKP has lost the economic heartland of Turkiye. (3) I agree with Mr. Mortimer's words that despite such authoritarian atmosphere of the past 15 years, elections still produce results not to the liking of an authoritarian government; thus, this speaks well for the Turkish democracy, or democratic aspirations of the population at large.

Therefore the Mayor couldn’t pass any changes that he originally intended. However now CHP party member Mr. Ekrem imamoglu not only he won Mayer position in Istanbul , he also took majority seats in chamber. This change happened in nearly all council chambers across the Turkey. Therefore CHP party will have control of 80% economy within the country. I believe this significant lost will push President in uncharted territory.

The excitement of the French so call "press" is literally amusing. Are you that afraid of Erdogan and his team? Does it bother you that they block France's path at every opportunity? If your answer is yes, even if reluctantly, I have news for you. This team is still in business and will remain so for years to come , Get used to being disturbed, this is the new normal for you ... greetings from Türkiye

Greetings from Türkiye. The only one disturbed by the will of the Turkish people here seems to be you Kaan. Does it bother you that now the opposition has a clear path to victory and AKP will not be able to block the millions of refugees wanting to head to Europe? If your answer is yes then I have news for you; You will not only watch Imamoglu for the next 5 years, as you have for the past 5. Get used to being disturbed, this is the new normal for people like you x

You think it's a good tactics to disturb basically for nothing the second most powerful NATO country that got a lot of it's own nukes? Unlike Turkey that's using only the foreign American nukes through the NATO sharing and can't ever use them without the codes from Washington DC. Any type of such games vs France, UK, USA, Russia or China are highly dangerous for a lower level power such as Turkey. Turkey could maybe play such games vs Italy or Spain. Certainly not vs France.
