3:42 The sign says "If you don't have money, you can take a simit from the hanger". Basically, you can pay for a simit to put into a "hanger" for people that can't afford to buy a simit in Istanbul. If you don't have any money and you want to get a simit, you can take one from the "hanger" at no charge. I love my people.

It is precious that stray dogs and cats can walk freely in Turkey. A huge number of people take care of them and feed them. We don't have the right to imprison them in houses or shelters. As long as their basic needs are met, they are happy to be free. However, there is an increasing number of people who are hostile to stray dogs. Their behavior is often pathological. But they also have some points. Especially in rural areas, when dogs get together, they gang up and behave in ways they would not normally do, sometimes becoming aggressive. This issue must be addressed. On the other hand, some cruel people torment stray animals and when they are detected, they cause outrage in society. Fortunately, they are now imprisoned under the new penal code. These are issues that need to be resolved regarding stray animals. But despite all this, we support stray animals to stay on the streets and we love them very much.

8:49 the black sesame is black cumin seeds, it is common to use on salty pastries and breads in Türkiye 9:21 this vegetable is called “taze fasulye” which means “frest beans” there are white beans inside it. If you dry the vegetable, you obtain their beans. But if you harvest it when it is still young, it looks like that. We cook it with tomatoes and potatoes, very light summer meal. Good with white cheese and watermelon. I am surprised to see it is served as a beginning because it is generally main course for us. You found a good restaurant, i liked your vlog :) FYI: There are 48 types of kebaps in all over Türkiye, shish kebap is just one of them 😂 kebap literally means meat and every city/region has their own version with different veggies and different cooking styles. My favourite is İskender kebap from Bursa city, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire before İstanbul.

As a Turk, I am really tired of videos that start with the words that Istanbul is on both continents. Why do you try to deny an obvious reality that you see even though you look at the world map every chance you get? We call the opposite side of Istanbul the Anatolian side. Indeed, since Europe is 100% in Asia, it does not matter whether Istanbul has an Asian side or not.

Türkler Osursa telife soktukları için neredeyse telifsiz müzik yok. Onlarda listelerde ilk gördükleri telifsiz Türkçe görünen müziği çalıyorlar. Bu da genelde Arap müzikleri oluyor. Please let's stop the Arab Music nagging. It's a copyright issue. They play royalty-free music on the site to avoid copyright infringement. Since Turks copyright everything, there is almost no royalty-free music. They also play the first royalty-free Turkish music they see on the charts. This is a misconception, but this music is generally Arabic music.
