I have a question - I have just started with routers. I have a palm and a plunge router, but my first sign I made, I found it hard to push the palm router in the directions that I needed it to go. Is that anything to do with the grain? I changed the bit (part of a pack) and the other one seemed to go a bit smoother, but not too much smoother. You seem to smoothly go around your wood ... and I thought maybe this happens with practice?? Is there any tips you can give on smoother movement?????? Many thanks.

Hey Ken, i would say the main thing you want to make sure of is that you have the right bits. The ones we use and sell are specifically designed for freehand carving. It might also be the type of wood you're using. Email me [e-mail] with some pictures of the bits you're using

Definitely save your scraps. I save everything and have made some good money making stuff from pieces that most people would toss in the fire.

can you use a 60 degree or a 90 degree bit also if you don't have a profile bit
