They made it look so easy. What an amazing shearling jacket. You could also see how soft it is as the maker touches it. If only I lived in a snowy country, it would be perfect to have one.

It's a delight to see a master craftsman at his work!!! I remember there is an area in Belgaum (Karnataka, India) where people do custom, made to order leather shoes. My cousin had got his shoes done from there after showing them a design from well-known brand. They not only made him exact replica of that shoes model, it fit him even better. Edit 2: Had no idea this comment got so much traction. It's near Fish Market, just before Mangesh Honda Office if you are coming from Bogarways to Tilakwadi. It was shop run by Tibetians. It was long time back (2000-01). I hope they are still around. Best of luck🤞

In foreign country where handmade especially from a master is very very expensive then there is cost of brand and mall. Also quality of leather also matters. Craftsman of our country sadly doesn't get this much money because we r also not that rich to spend this much.

Я вяжу спицами. Одна барышня на работе говорит мне: "Свяжи мне кардиган". Показывает картинку из интернета, а там сто миллионов узоров, косы... в общем сложная модель. Ну я ей говорю, мол это будет дорого стоить. А она мне: "Как? Там же вязать нечего. Раз-два и готово" Ок, я ей вручила спицы и клубок пряжи и говорю: "Ну раз тут нечего вязать, так сами свяжите, это же легкотня!"

...Даже за простым (не мех/кожа) шитьем, на "Подольской", когда "сам себе режиссер", посидеть 2-3 часа - уже попа квадратной становится. Зато приятно. И себе удобно-практичное сделать, и своих близких иногда выручать приходилось. Не зря Творец позволил хобби по наследству в жизнь воплощать...

I made a sheepskin ushanka recently from scraps I bought on Etsy. you'll need glover's needles if you're hand stitching but if you've got a pattern it's not as hard as you'd think. I'd start with something like a hat though, there's less to go wrong and plenty of easy patterns out there.
