ya all the stuff you said is right on. for me im going to turn 50 this fall it took about 3 years for things to change. one of them was not caring what others thought of me another one was being a stage hand not taking back to back late nite to morning calls and valuing my sleep and body over $$ because they will replace you fast and i dont want to be a old broken guy.

You cannot buy wisdom, it only comes with experience. The older you get (I'm 44) the more you realise there is more to life than money, and 'stuff'. The more you learn to be frugal, the less you need to work. Take jobs on your own terms, even if it means you sometimes miss-out. Life is to be enjoyed, not a constant grind. I hope you find your peace.

Happy birthday, I celebrated 48 years 3 months ago, and I realy was celebrating. Because my father past away when he was 45. So every day is a gift for me. And I took my teenage daughter to an ice ring. It was 30 years sins I used ice skates, so first 5 minutes was realy scary, but after that, we had so match fun. It was realy great. English is not my native language, but I live by :today is a gift, that's why it's called present. It is short version from Kun fu panda movie.
