Yes! I thought it would be ages before we saw another upload, but you had content lined up for us! Love the nerf projects, I used to do research on modifications, early KZbin days but never performed any myself. There was a double barrel "Buzz-Bee" nerf gun I thought would be amazing if it shot more accurately. The darts were loaded into plastic "shells." Very cool double barrel design. From old models to new, so many design tweaks are possible!

@@jumanjithemusical I presume you are talking about the Buzz Bee walking dead shotgun style blaster? I own one of those myself That one has a spring in the barrel, which pushes against a part of the shell and is locked into the barrel by some plastic bits at the back of the shell and closing the blaster releases those catches and when you open it, the shell ejects.

This technique is called "shotgun loading" and you can do it with some stock nerf blasters! I've been out of the nerf sphere for a while so it's hard for me to think of any examples off of the top of my head, but still. I saw your other nerf modding video too and I'm a big fan! I like how you (seemingly?) don't have much experience with nerf modding, nor do you seem influenced by what people are already doing/have already done. It's very fresh and entertaining ^^

You should see if you can print off a barrel that holds those "mini" rival balls and have them closer together, as well as a new rotater that rotates it less for every prime so you can shoot three shots and have more shots (if that makes sence) very cool idea with the stronger spring! It looks like it adds a good bit of fps.

Maybe you could make it shoot 50cal foam balls! They are smaller than rival rounds so I think you can fit more in the blaster without having to use a more powerful spring

former spring manufacturer here. if you want to shorten a spring by a few milimeters you can infact put both ends to a grinder and hone the ends flat. almost no preformance of the spring is lost this way. and the thing that the spring will seat in wont have to change. this is done all the time when producing model specific springs.

If you made those barrels brass or just drilled them out a little I'm sure you could get 3 to fire. A rival ball in a mega barrel is a pretty tight fit.

I remember watching vamp somethin YEARS ago, when rival first came out. He complained of how expensive they were and looked for chinese knockoffs, found some for cheap that worked great BUT were too small in diameter to make a good seal with the rival blasters or run reliably through flywheels. It might be worth it to order some chinese knockoffs and see if they work better in this niche application!

Drilling out the cylinder bores a bit should help. Measure the ball diameter and get a drill bit just slightly smaller. Wet sand to hone the bores smooth and it may even shoot four balls. Be sweet to hydrodip it too.

would it be possible to slightly enlarge the diameter of the tubes in the revolving magazine to either get a 3rd ball to fire or higher velocities from just 2 balls? was thinking if you got a wooden dowel about 5 mm less in diameter then wrapped it with sandpaper you could widen them just a little

I absolutely love this. I have been a nerf hobbyist for awhile and this just made me want to do this. I would likely suggest keeping a little room at the end of the cylinder that goes up against the plunger head just to avoid pulling a ball back into the plunger and having to take the whole blaster apart to get it out lol but if youre not worried about it, this is perfect and makes me want to get this blaster too
