Is it hard to legally immigrate? No, no it isn't. If you want to work in the black market and not pay taxes but also cruise in and get immediate benefits while illegally entering, illegally working, not paying tax and or being slave labour to the coyote that is extorting you. As for immigration, should allow people that share values and want to be American, not something "hyphen" American.

@@Cabledeluz1977 Perhaps if so many resources were not being directed to illegals then the process would be much shorter. It isn't difficult to get a work visa if you have a skill in need. If you're just coming to add to the pool of working poor and social system drain then maybe it should be hard.

@@thegan9143 You’re bring up a few different points. I’m not even sure how in depth you understand this topic? First, even before JB it took 7-9 years to receive a visa. Second, work visas are different than regular visas. The paperwork is different. The migrant has paperwork to fill out as well as the sponsor here in the States. The process is a lot quicker than a regular visa because they are requesting workers immediately from another country.

@@pyuumaman But he was advocating for more immigration. Selective absorption of information is a liability, Sir.
@pyuumaman
@pyuumaman 2 күн бұрын
@@asterixandobelix195 ok. I'll break this down then and you can explain how what you said applies to anything I said. @pugsnguns said something like "12 million illegals and he wants to make it easier" I say "he's advocating for loosening restrictions in legal immigration" and that I don't see him advocating for the nearly open borders that resulted in the 12 million illegals. The whole video is proof of this as Charlie and he are debating LEGAL immigration topics throughout. The kid even says something along the lines of "why are we restricting immigration OTHER THAN ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION" (and he said this in a tone of "of course excluding illegal immigration") in respect to the conservative viewpoint. Why is he specifically articulating the exclusion of illegal immigration from his argument? Could it be because, as evidenced throughout the entire video, he isn't trying to argue for that? So we could make a reasonable guess that perhaps he actually understands why illegal immigration is, and should be, illegal and must stop but that would be a guess and is extraneous to refuting what you are implying about me. Essentially, he qualifies that his concerns have to do with legal immigration if it wasn't obvious throughout. Let's put it all together: 1. Pugsnguns makes joke about already having 12 million illegals and says the kid wants to make it easier, conflating the kid's arguments for not being more restrictive for legal immigration and making it easier for illegal immigration to occur. 2. I point out that the kid and Charlie weren't debating illegal immigration and it's misrepresenting the kid to imply he wants to make it easier for more illegals to get in 3. You say "but he was advocating for more immigration" (yes, read the first and second points again until you realize the foolishness of #3). The only thing I can conclude in you essentially repeating what I said in my reply to pugsnguns and representing it as some kind of "gotcha" is that you do not understand the conflation of pugsnguns comment. Yes the kid is advocating in some unknown way for legal immigration to be loosened. We don't know in what way, what fields, to what extent, what timeframe, etc., because it isn't discussed in this video. What does anything he said have to do with making it easier for more illegals to get in, as pugsnguns conflates? If you cannot present a rational argument to that effect, then you yield that it is a misrepresentation. Additionally, you said "selective absorption". So you are presuming that I am in some way filtering things out to support some bias? Please tell me what you know about my views for you to presume I'm selectively absorbing what I want to hear. I'll save you the trouble because this is idiotic. I do not support illegal immigration or mass immigration, and I actually find Charlie's suggestion of stopping immigration while the situation with the illegal immigrants is sorted out to be an interesting idea that could be explored. I'm vehemently against the absurd radical left, biased propagandist media and the deep corruption and criminal behavior of the Democrats in power and their influence and usage of 3 letter agencies to create this enormous mess in the US. That probably doesn't do well to support your snide implication about my viewpoints impacting my absorption of information. No, because I'm a stickler for factual representation of events and you, just like the people you probably ridicule on the radical left for the same thing, failed to read carefully, listen and comprehend, and resorted to an illogical conclusion that only seems to indicate that what you implied about me may actually be true about yourself. Of course you left it at implication because you don't directly state what you are accusing me of. Selective absorption why? Because of what bias which you are assuming I have? To me, that's passive aggressiveness and cowardice. If you just said "but he's advocating for more immigration; I don't see how that's a misrepresentation because that would make it easier" you would have gotten a friendly explanation of what my comment was responding to and why instead of having your statements dissected. You could then say "oh I understand what you mean now". And be free to say "I didn't take his comment to mean that but I see how you mean now" instead of coming off like an arrogant pontifical fool. At this moment, you have the opportunity to introspect and find out: - why did I jump to that conclusion - why do I feel the need to put others down to elevate myself - what real value to me or others can doing that actually bring - is it in alignment with what I claim to believe in and stand for Critical thinking involves deep introspection and self awareness to spot and eradicate biases. Most fail to do this because it requires the humility to accept when we are incorrect, often due to assumptions like you made about me here. I don't tow any line and I don't recommend you or anyone else do. Think for yourself. I'm open to discussion and open to being wrong. I don't care about being right. I care about things being represented truthfully. I can see you owning up to this -- which shows you have some character and want to do better -- or trying to wriggle out of this if you try to claim pugsnguns conflation is unclear to you or that you never specified what exactly your implication of my "selective absorption" was (although it would be quite comical if you tried to disprove me by trying to assert that some of my viewpoints that I've actually now revealed in this post were somehow what caused the alleged "selective absorption"), all the while avoiding the admission of the snideness as a personality flaw that must be worked on. I hope for the former but if it ends up being the latter, you can just keep on wriggling your way through existence, trying to avoid taking responsibility for your thoughts, words, and actions.

@@pyuumaman The sheer absurdity of the rhetoric you’ve presented only serves to reinforce my position regarding the implicit agenda to relax migration policies. What is even more perplexing, however, is the evident reliance on a response generator to produce such incoherent drivel.
@asterixandobelix195
@asterixandobelix195 2 күн бұрын
@pyuumaman Enjoy: The sheer absurdity of the rhetoric you’ve presented is, in itself, a testament to the complete lack of coherence within your argument. Such fallacious reasoning only serves to underscore the intellectual vacuity of your stance. Moreover, the statements you’ve put forth have done nothing to challenge my position. On the contrary, they merely reaffirm the validity of my assertion regarding the implicit implications of your argument-specifically, the covert inclination to relax migration policies. It is both astonishing and deeply disconcerting that such misguided opinions continue to circulate. One would expect a higher standard of discourse when engaging in such weighty matters of public concern. Instead, what you offer is a hollow echo of baseless conjecture. What is perhaps most baffling, however, is the sheer audacity with which these claims are presented. Rather than a well-reasoned argument, your discourse consists of nothing more than disjointed ramblings devoid of substance or factual grounding. In particular, the implications you draw from the situation at hand are patently unfounded. One cannot help but question the rationale behind your conclusions, which seem to be drawn from an alternate reality untethered from the constraints of logic or reason. Even more bemusing is the manner in which these points are conveyed. The tone and structure of your response indicate a lack of original thought, suggesting instead that your diatribe was constructed through the use of an automated response generator. It is unfortunate that such tools, designed to mimic coherent argumentation, have been employed to further this drivel. The result is a confused amalgamation of ill-conceived ideas, stitched together with little regard for consistency or intellectual rigor. In the end, your response does nothing but solidify the flaws in your position. What might have been a meaningful discussion has instead devolved into a display of intellectual ineptitude, amplified by the use of automated technology to disseminate nonsense.

Funny because it’s not especially focused on USA but to any functioning country that wants to have a bright future. USA tends to be at the top priority for immigrants which will led to even faster disaster than Europe for example, Despite I know for a facts (Friends of mine) that some countries in Europe would argue that they almost losing the identity of their own country already. Well, not limiting or even preventing altogether will just freely allow criminals to just enter without question, restriction, documentation etc..... That boy is not thinking at all. Not even sure how it can be that hard to see the big picture. His argument is basically saying more criminals would be coming in and less good people would enter. Really, kid doesn't think the same amount if not more criminals would come in - along with many more other people ?????? geez

Good discussion. I don't see the need for the more sensationalist title. I think when reasonable discussion and an understanding that there are different perspectives and expectations between different people (Charlie acknowledging this at the end, realizing the difference is the kid is coming at this in good faith) it should be celebrated. Being able to discuss intelligently, reasonably, and peaceably while holding different viewpoints is the ideal here and that's what's happened. I would not be surprised if the kid here ended up gaining a more positive perspective on this conservative viewpoint. This kid has a lot more potential than the vast majority of these college kids attempting to debate when they cannot articulate themselves and their views cogently and resort to parroting the gibberish their being indoctrinated with and attempting ridicule (standard college education these days). Avoid becoming ideologues and support good discussion. I see comments piling on the title's narrative, but I wonder how many people doing so could articulate themselves as well as Charlie or the kid here. Hatred has no healthy home within you, and it will consume you if you give it quarter. Edit: also I am aware that this does not appear to be the entire debate which may justify labeling him as pro mass immigration. In this video, I do not see evidence that he was pro mass immigration. I see him referencing the legal methodology of immigration, not the vast amount of illegal immigration going on. For all i know he may be for deporting all illegal immigrants and could want to address some aspects of immigration system. I doubt it but the point is I do not believe that can be discerned from this video alone.

Can college students not do basic math? A country only has a finite number of resources (whether that be welfare or the economy in general) for its citizens. If you bring more people into the country that means there is less resources to go around now.

Hey Charlie, enough with the "Demolishes, Slams, Destroys", etc titles. It's off-putting and untrue. It's very likely you have a photographic memory and you debate very well, let that be enough.

Think the lad gave charly a good run here. If not actually beat him. It was quite an easy win for Charly had he took it. Its quite simple - Unemplyment is considered low because they dont have the correct numbers anymore. E.g 10 million come over the border. 9.7 million of those are now in hiding and have totally dissipated into the infrastructure of the USA. If a census were carried out today the total population would be significantly lower on paper than what it actually is because the millions of illegals simply wont show up to register. We have no idea where they are. If unemplyment is shown at say 4%, you can bet your house, this does not factor in the above. Its almost certainly double that in reality, if not more.

@@jerrybrickley2115 Steady yourself. We are on the same side by the sounds of it. The ones you are referring too are only the small % we know off. Which is an absolute sin. But The vast vast majority are MIA somewhere in the USA which is even more concerning for Americans.

Even though inflation is almost 6%, it's necessary. Do you know that the US median income as of September 2024 rose to $80K annually. That report just came out today.

The reality is that Charlie is wealthy and the inflation has had very little impact on his personal life. Many companies have raised prices more than absolutely necessary to keeping up with inflation. They are using the inflation as a scapegoat.

A scapegoat? Your comment pretends inflation isn't happening when it's the highest it's been in 40 years. Companies don't need to use it as a scapegoat as it's the number one logical reason to fight inflation.

There is usually a balance to everything. Too many workers and not enough jobs typically means wages are going to remain stagnant which is especially bad when cost of living/inflation continue to outpace those wages

Do you charge, just enough to keep up with inflation, or as much as you can get for your work efforts? Everything is worth what the buyer is willing to offer and the seller is willing to accept. It's not worth what a government bureaucrat permits the seller to charge.
