What do you guys identify as politically overall? Immigration is one topic that most people are not educated on enough to have soundly informed opinions. Being pro or anti a topic doesn’t always immediately label you on one side of the political spectrum or the other. The issue is peoples ability to converse on the nuances of more complex topics. I draw the line where hate, supremacy, discrimination and other negative motivating factors are apparent in individuals views, like id argue real far right pro immigration individuals are motivated by these kinds of bigoted beliefs, and left individuals like myself don’t want those prejudices influencing policy. I’m sure if less reactionary conversations were had by people on both sides of the political spectrum and less extreme views were put into the mainstream we’d find much more middle ground and solutions to modern immigration issues.

The problem (certainly over the last decade or so) is that many of the topics that require nuance, sensitivity, perspective and balance - like mass immigration, rape/grooming gangs, Islamism and trans 'stuff' - have been shut down for discussion by the left. People have been silenced and smeared for not having the 'right' opinions. Black people have been accused of being 'the wrong kind of black'. It's so cynical ... Only 'right wing ' speakers have been cancelled, banned from speaking etc. This is one of the main reasons I have come to distance myself from the current left: they are becoming the authoritarian, dictatorial and divisive beast that they have claimed the right is! Only the ignorant or will fully blind don't see this.

I'm also a legal immigrant. I've lived in a 3rd world country. There's a reason 3rd world countries are the way they are. They breed a kind of person that is conditioned to cheat the system because in these places that's a survival technique. The problem is that they move to a 1st world country and can't switch off that behaviour. I've met a lot of immigrants, legal and illegal, doing all kinds of dodgy stuff in this country without needing to do it. They cheat the system, tap into government benefits, and barely do anything useful or think long term. They are like parasites. I know of a Brazilian woman that pays no rent and works twice a week, living off benefits and travelling all over Europe. And my hard-earned money sustains that person in the form of income tax. The government should really clamp down on these cheats.

Your partner had a long and arduous process to emigrate legally, do you have any idea how hard it is to become a British citizen? Or an American one? There ARE controls. But the thing with illegal immigration is they're doing it illegally. Absolutely. My home town and the city nearest have been changed beyond all recognition in the last 20 years. It has gone from 5% minorties to a clear majority of people coming from predominantly Muslim countries. There is no attempt to become British at all with most of them speaking other languages and wearing clothes more common in the Middle East and Pakistan. The moment there is any sort of conflict or internal struggle, there will be millions of people inside our borders that want to take our systems down. We have invited a future civil war. And why? I am a Romanian immigrant, I worked my ass off to get an education, learn the language and go to work each day to be able to pay the bills and feed my children. Meanwhile, other immigrants live on social welfare while not even bothering to become a part of society, and come in without even the most basic background check. Neighborhoods that used to be quiet now have roaming gangs of middle eastern teenagers and the police does not do anything. A young boy has been stabbed 140 (yes, a hundred and forty) times not long ago, and there is an epidemic of drugs and prescription medication flooding the streets. This has to stop.

We have a 94 year old relative who lives with us who is currently in a care home after a fall. We went to see her yesterday and met a young Hong Kong lad who is studying health and social care at Lincoln University. He was telling us how lucky he is to be in England studying and how he hopes to become a British Citizen and work in the NHS. I didn't realise but in Hong Kong they give their children British names , as well as their Chinese names in the hope that one day their children can come to the UK and become British. Calum told us how hard his dad found it having be brought up in Colonial Hong Kong, with all its freedoms that gave him , and now having to live under Chinees rule. Calum said I am so lucky to be here and love living in England. Calum is the sort of immigrant we want, not people who march in support of terrorist and refuse to integrate and expect England to change for them. I welcome Calum and hope his dream of becoming British comes true.

It can be a mix of both. I never really used my Chinese name outside of school or official documents because I identified more with being HK/British than with the mainland. We'd had a lot of adopted girls (adopted by Chinese HKers mostly, some didn't know until later😮) at my primary school during the one child policy so I was always sure that after the handover I wanted to leave. I'm happy to be a part of a new culture elsewhere, its been 17 years and I was able to assimilate pretty easily 🌟

The solution is simple - illegal immigrant will be deported back to country he came from, will never get a citizenship or visa. Very simple solution. It is also fine to put illegal immigrants to some period (3-6 months) of physical labor as way to subsidise the whole project and extra punishment.

It's possible for two different agendas to utilize the same methods to attain their goals. I applied to move to the UK in 1999 and it was going to cost me a fortune in my currency to get my family there and this was with a wife who was a British citizen and me being born in a British colony. I was on a British passport ( actually my mums) until I was 12 but the laws changed and my rights to citizenship was revoked. Now we have people just wondering over as if on a Sunday stroll and everything is grand welcome to England. How are these people able to afford the £5000 per person to be able to get on a boat and come over ? Does anyone understand how hard that is for the Average African where the average wage is about $700 a year ? Who is paying for all of this is what we need to find out.
