there is not enought turnip28 out there. Love that you're doing it!

Definitely agree with this! But I will definitely be making more Turnip28 videos as I work on my second and third regiments. I always enjoy building and painting anything Turnip28 related 🙂

Great tutorial! I’m just starting to investigate Turnip28 and this video was exactly what I needed. Thank you.

That's brilliant, I'm really glad that the you found the video helpful! Turnip28 is a fantastic outlet for creativity and kitbashing as you really only limited by your own imagination. I've just started building my third Turnip28 regiment so I'll be sure to make a video about that 😀

Really great video Ste, they look awesome.

Thanks Stu, much appreciated! There really is no right or wrong to paint Turnip28 miniatures but hopefully this showed how they can be painted really pretty quickly using relatively few paints but still get that grim looking Turnip28 style 😃

A great video Ste, lovely clear guide to how you painted these.
@OnPointHQ2 жыл бұрын
Cheers Cal! It's a very very simple way of painting but I think that this is absolutely works for the Turnip28 aesthetic. Clean and crisp paint schemes wouldn't really capture the grim and fatalistic look of these units 🙂

Very peculiar figures. Excellent paint job.

Thank you! These are kitbashed using three different plastic kits as there is not set range for Turnip28 but this is what appeals to me. There is such freedom to create what I want using whatever bits and pieces I can find 🙂

Nice painting tehnique, covering mistakes with wash. The mixed red really pup up nicely.
@OnPointHQ2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Lucian, I'm not sure using the wash like this would work on other figures for other games but for Turnip28 it definitely fits with the painting style. I like to add a few reds to break up the green/brown feel of the unit 🙂

Great work Ste. Some interesting ideas there too. 👍

Thanks Jim, I've definitely found that my painting with regards to Turnip28 is completely different to how I would approach something like Bolt Action. I actually think this quick and simple scheme really does add to the overall look though 😀

Thanks Justin! It's a very very different technique to how I would normally paint figures but I think it definitely adds to the overall feel of Turnip28. It gives the miniatures a more grim look 🙂

Nice and muddy; I need to paint some more adventurers in a similar grungy state for Forbidden Psalm
@OnPointHQ2 жыл бұрын
The mud and gunge definitely adds to figures like these as the basing really gives them a sense of trudging through mud and slime. It's just Vallejo Thick Mud and Water Effect but the look is absolutely spot on 🙂

Thank you! I ended up using this combination of paints completely by accident but I'm super happy with how it turned out. I would say a bit too much blue can sort of ruin the effect but it is easily fixed 🙂
@ausmozzy2 жыл бұрын
Nice work Ste, they really look impressively grim and muddy together. I'm not sure I could paint them six to a base like you do, even with a quick paint job. But you make it work! 🙂
@OnPointHQ2 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate! Painting six to a base is not something I'd normally do but it makes me paint in a way that really fits Turnip28. It's a bit rough and ready bit the simple process and the muddy bases really seem to work 🙂
