Love Vdara! Have stayed there 4 times. We enjoyed the pool there cause it’s low key and wasn’t crowded or overrun with kids. We rented a daybed with canopy for the day and it was only $75 and came with a fresh fruit plate and two bottles of water.

I love the fact that there is no smoking and no casino downstairs… but Aria is less than a five minute walk away and Bellagio is less than 10 minutes away. Loved having a bigger room, loved the kitchenette, and loved the conveniences. Can’t wait for my trip this July!!!

I love rooms with kitchenettes, especially now with Eataly there, so you don't have to "eat out" for every meal. The dishwasher and washer/dryer are nice too, for extended stays! Great views makes you wanna stand in the corner! My pale ass would need SPF 1 MILLION at the pool. Funny that some of the early hotel reflections melted cars on the street early on, so they had to put screens up!

I've stayed at that exact same room a few times, Vdara is probably my second favorite hotel on Strip behind the Aria. I really like their pools too, the last time we stayed there, we booked a cabana so we can swim at the private pools.

Enjoyed that you went off the "touristy" areas and took a drive through Red Rock. I love driving through there and your video brought back some nice memories. There used to be a small little old west town set up called Bonnie Springs right down the road a few miles. Was a lot of fun, they had acted out a melodrama and an old west bank robbery but it closed a year or 2 ago

The Vdara is our favorite go to Staycation Destination. You can take in all the casinos and restaurants you want on the Strip, while enjoying the quiet non smoking hotel. The size of Vdara rooms versus the cost of comparable hotel luxury suites is cheap. We will be moving from Vegas soon, but will book here when we return for visits.

I stayed at the Aria in 2014, which is part of the same City Center complex as the Vdara. Nice room but too much for just me. The Vdara room looks long and skinny. I’m not one for pools, I burn too easily, and the prices are extortion level for the food. Bravo though for the burgers only being cooked well done. There is only one time to cook a burger any less than medium well and that is if you just ground the meat (fresh from the refrigerator) yourself and immediately cooked it. Any other time, even if you watched it bring ground in the kitchen, and you risk foodborne illness from the undercooked meat. Steaks are another matter since the bacteria can’t get into the inner part of the meat. But grinding creates a much larger surface area that is at risk of contamination.

If that salad has ramen noodles in it, I would not call it healthy. 😁 Vdara has a good reputation, I wouldn’t consider it underrated. It’s just that most visitors want a casino, good selection of food outlets and more attractions on-site. The kitchen and washer/dryer are a big plus for longer stays.
