Milanović is not a Russophile, but he is not an Americanophile, he is just realistic. He repeatedly stated that the war in Ukraine is an American proxy war against Russia, it is not a Croatian war. While the big ones are fighting, the little ones should not interfere. This war is vital for Russia and then it is invincible on its borders. Similarly, Milanović often criticized the Croatian Prime Minister and the EU leadership for arming Ukraine and advocated an immediate end to the war and negotiations. On the other hand, he condemned Russian aggression and was in favor of Ukraine receiving all humanitarian aid from Croatia, except military aid.😄

Vesna Pusić je prijetila umirovljenicima da neće dobiti mirovine ako ne uđemo u EU. Ja sam uvijek bio ptotiv EU,a danas je to sve više građana RH. EU je veliko zlo,kao i NATO.

Let me save you some money. Instead of such "experts" and what's more - for the "Balkans", simply call some ordinary citizen of Croatia and you will get a better quality analysis. Free of charge. First, the position of president in Croatia is only protocol and the only powers he has are those with the military. Milanovic is like a rebellious teenager and his views vary depending on the person he is talking to. The most important thing for him is to troll someone. He is similar to Trump and Musk in this regard. Otherwise, his views on WW2 are anti-fascist and he advocates Tito and the Partisans, but right-wingers also like him, because he has that kind of macho demeanor. And the war in Ukraine is anything but "distant" for the citizens of Croatia. First, because of the extraordinary similarity with the war we ourselves went through, and then because of the fact that the "White Croats", the Slavic tribe after which we are named(just as the Poles are named after the Poljani tribe), are also one of the three main tribes that participated in the formation of the Ukrainian people. Croats in the full sense of the word support Ukraine and Ukrainians. Including the vast majority of those who voted for Milanovic. They voted for him only because they like to hear him insult Plenkovic, the current prime minister(whom these same citizens elected just 6 months ago).

They are not, Milanovic is using war scars to rile population, and obviously lying about Croatia sending troops. Also, the reason people voted for Milanovic was because the other guy sucked balls, typical HDZ tactic to send a weak candidate not to affect the prime minister in party elections. Not really, no. Historically we Croats consider ourselves brothers with Ukrainians and Serbs consider themselves brothers with Russians. Milanović had a populist campaign where he claimed he was fighting against the government. As stated in the video - government is highly corrupt and people are outraged. Secondly he claimed to prevent Croatia's youth from "going to fight in Ukraine war" (which he claimed was Russia - US war). Even though this has no basis in reality, it had a big impact on public since through Croatian history, foreign powers always pushed Croats to fight in their wars.
