The thing I love about Turnover is that they want to create and inhabit their own world on each album. That may mean they don't play to their strengths and lose fans, but I love how genuine and warm every release has felt. This lacks the hooks of Altogether but I really enjoy how this album feels and find it comforting on repeat. I don't think every album a band puts out needs to be stellar and I think the best bands have albums like this that standalone as a unique, cult favorite.

i hope im not the only one who can just turn on a random shuffle of every turnover song and never have the feeling to skip a song. every song is a relaxing masterpiece. its a shame they aren't noticed by more people!

This song feels like reminiscing on a lost love or better days gone by. I love that Turnover can create a sound that also has a feeling, a talent that they've always had and seem to have only gotten better at.

All this time feeling like the guilty one In the past, my reflection can't recognize And is youth always so delusional? Hard to dream when you don't get to sleep at all It could be a long time Of staring into the walls And nights unblinking at the sky All the tears I must have inside my head I don't know how to make them fall from my eyes I can see futures full of happiness But they seem out of focus and far away And it could be a long time Of staring into the walls And nights unblinking at the sky

This is what disillusionment sounds like, like the opposite of butterfly dream from Good Nature, "And is youth always so delusional", the disillusionment of growing older might have influenced this song. This song is kinda depressing if you think about it that way 🥲

Make the same sounding music over and over and they call you boring and trivial. Go out of your comfort zone and experiment and it's not familiar enough. Can't make everyone happy I guess? Saw these guys live a month ago and they were amazing in every way

I'm in agrreeance with ya and I was turnovers biggest fan from where I'm from. Turned them on to many people, I'm sure they would have found them eventually. I logged on my Instagram for the first time in 3 years, saw turnover posted about a new album and here I am. Not my jam man. Kudos to them for still going and of course I'm sure they enjoy what they're doing but for me they lost that magic they had. Peace & love tho 🙏💙
