As the music in this level plays you realize that this isn't going to be a walk in the park type of war against the humanoid dinosaurs. It is all up to you, and only you to stop them all and the Primagen. As you continue the painful journey through the level, it just seems all hope is lost because there is nobody left, no survivors, and no help whatsoever. But suddenly at 2:55, you then start to realize that you can't give up, you can't back down, you are the only one left to stop this evil, the only one to stop the oblivion that is at hand! Pick up your weapon! You must stop the Primagen! I AM TUROK!!!

Oh man, the composer himself has a youtube channel? I cannot even begin to fathom how many sleepless nights i spent back in 2000 playing this game just for the badass soudtrack that it had, I mean the game itself was awesome but your music in particular hit this game just right. This song in particular has always been one of my absolute favorites, The Port of Aidia as well, they just encapsulate everything this game is, you a hunter, alone in ruined cities hunting dinosoids, zombies, aliens and everything in between with just your guts, a bow a gauntlet and a pistol and shotgun hoping that the noise you heard around the corner you have enough ammo to blow apart before it rips you open. Your music man, holds a special place in my childhood and heart. Thank you.

You did great work for this soundtrack. There was enough to the music that it stayed memorable, but it never got over-bearing. It was great background music for a game where you spent a fair amount of time backtracking and exploring. Nothing ever stood out too much that it got annoying to hear, but there was enough to listen to without making it to mellow to care.

Although a few games still have some gem soundtracks i have to agree. A large amount at least in the AAA industry rely on actually songs from music artists or some generic soundtracks that sound almost the same with the similar soulless vibe to it. Many older games had a stronger identity because they had some stand out soundtracks that fit the game and what it represented. I think unique ost that are made specific for a game makes that game way more memorable, it can have such an impact on the overall experience. For me Halo ce is one example, sonic mania also did a good job.

The choir harmony from 3:00 to 3:17 gives me goosebumps (since 1999) every single time I listen to this theme. And last, but never least, an epic melody starts, just "to close with a gold key" (an expression in portuguese - I don't know if it exists in english - , used to describe something flawlessly accomplished). Thank you, Darren! In the 90s I couldn't even imagine I could thank you, but today, fortunatelly the internet can give me this chance. Greetings from Brazil!

Slaughtered by the River of Souls. The River of Souls, the very name strikes fear into the hearts of men. Nothing that drinks of its waters survives. The Lazorrus Concordance located one of the Energy Totems near its banks and the people of the Lost Land quickly learned, that its mysterious energy, could once again purify the River of Souls. Off the mighty shore of the deadly river, a mighty city span forth. Once there was life, death flourished. The dinozoid vanguard swap through the beautiful City of Araissi as its campaign of terror reigning on. Araissi was once home to an informable army but with many decades of peace and prosperity, there was no need for large military presence and its military forces became weak.

I remember finding a PC-CD of this game in one of those cardboard casing at a flea market when i was around 7 years old. My mother was hesitant about it, but i insisted that it would mean so much to me and we asked how much they wanted for it. just about one dollar (more or less as the dollar is not my currency) and i was so happy. When i played it for the first time i had no idea what i was doing or what i even was supposed to do. I never even beat the first level but the music jwas so amazing that i just kept playing it anyways. After a few years i managed to get to the second level and realised that there was even more music. I looked online to find a way to unlock the other levels and when finding the "big cheat" I instantly checked the music from the other levels, and I have never felt so overwhelmed by such a fantastic soundtrack. I'm 30 now and this is still by far the most amazing soundtrack for any game that I have ever played. Thank you so much for the amazing memories i have with this game.

I was obsessed by this song when playing Turok 2. I was baffled that it was used so little.

My favorite track from the game, this along with the Title theme which seems one of them derived from another I think. What is impresive, is the usage of the Limited Instruments of the N64 to get this! I even preefer this version over the CD one.

Some of the finest video game music ever composed! It’s probably been well over 10 to 15 years since I last played the game and I’m not even sure if my memory could remember how to get around those maps anymore, but I will ALWAYS remember the music! Fantastic stuff!

My cousin looks like Turok, lol. We were addicted to this game when we were kids. An Indigenous Dinosaur slayer? We were down bad from the beginning.

Game soundtracks are underappreciated in their importance to making a great game. T2 and its soundtrack is one of the goats.
