Something I wanted to point out at 8:24 is that you do not run faster on wooden floors faster than outside. I checked the velocity to be sure. Otherwise those are some good discoveries you've pointed out that alot of people didn't know before. :)
@KaseiSpeedruns7 жыл бұрын
Hm! If this is the case, I believe the random speedboosts is what makes it look faster when running on top of that floor. Thanks for watching!

I played Turok (1997) milion times but i tried this Turok 2 only once and only did half of the 1st level and i thought its bad game. You think i should give it a new chance to complete the whole game, is the game any good?
@KaseiSpeedruns4 жыл бұрын
It's definitely different, but ultimately I think it's on par with Turok 1 for a single player experience. The weapons are a bit more fun to use and there's a lot of new systems in place, AI being smarter and a larger variety of enemies to kill. Does come with a lot of backtracking that Turok 1 didn't have, though, since it's based on unlocking abilities in later levels. Definitely give the remaster a spin that's on Steam. If you enjoy Turok 1, I don't see why you wouldn't enjoy Turok 2!

I have been stuck on River of Souls for I can't tell you how many months to be so honest. I just can't get my head around how to navigate, I am missing one sister and can't bloody find her!!
@KaseiSpeedruns4 жыл бұрын
You're probably missing the second Sister, which comes directly after the crypt section where the first one is. www.twitch.tv/videos/400919349?t=0h26m7s This should put you in my 100% Speedrun WR vod at 26m 07s. I do a non-intended ledge grab in this area to reach her; by the full health. If you look ahead instead, you'll see a barrel next to a wall. If you shoot that barrel, it will open up a secret path to the Sister I think you're missing. Good luck!

Now this gets me curious about the speed running catagories of this game, would there be a possible "Quick warpless" catagory? Due to this being a lot faster but pretty much negates a lot of the game (which I don't mind it lol) and objectives from speed running the original
@KaseiSpeedruns7 жыл бұрын
The 100% category focuses on completing all of the mission objectives, which by nature forces you into boss fights as well as totem defense sections. Quick warp could still be used here to skip the Mother boss fight, since the Primagen's Lightship does not require you to find a totem to defend - but the rest of the game has to be fully completed. :)

Another comment, how long and or how many times did you have to try and retry this before you made this video?
@KaseiSpeedruns7 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for your comments! No, I am not using any kind of aimbot. :) The original game had auto aim, this one does not. Believe me, in most of these attempts I've done of this game, I've had trouble hitting the still-standing barrels. Overall, my Livesplit counter (my timer) shows that I have roughly 200 different attempts, with around 30 successful runs.

Neat. However, it does drive me a bit up the wall that you keep calling things that are very clearly unintended behaviors, and as such are glitches, 'mechanics'. A thing the game designer intended for you to be able to do, is a mechanic, but an unintended behavior is a bug, error, exploit, or glitch, depending on your personal nomenclature.
