I borrowed this from a friend once and I got kind of far but just as Greg states, there's insane difficulty spikes. I had to repeat sections over and over again because checkpoints suck and enemies strangely got tough randomly. I ended up rage quitting the game but I want to give it another shot.

I miss Seeds of Evil, the weapon design was what kept me coming back i wanted to see a homing drill go into a skull of a humanoid raptor spewing brain matter and blood everywhere and then see his head blown clean off. the concept is so ridiculous that it just made the game that much more enjoyable. i feel like most games nowadays focus too much on the realism of a weapon. but for a game like this it allows you to get away with some crazy ideas. please return to the roots of Turock.

I wanted to like the original Turok series, and it definitely had potential, but it always became a huge pointless maze. And why was the woman blue? And why were little white girls in cages? And how can the lizards use sci-fi guns and where did they get them? The guns felt weak then too. I liked its mystical vibe though. It'd be cool to see a Turok game where you're placed in different time/spaces where you're needed and then you go to a totally different world.

Could not agree more. This game pissed me off to the extreme. It has its moments but overall it disappointed me. From the awful checkpoints to the inability to sprint to the punishing difficulty like you mentioned, I just found myself more frustrated than anything else. Some of the boss fights were outrageously hard, not to mention borderline broken like the Hydra boss in the cave. I thought I'd never beat that thing. Makes the T-Rex boss at the end look like a cake walk.

@UnitedRebel09 Yeah actually if it wasn't so damn hard and the level design was better, this would have been a great game because when it was fun, it was really fun. Also the checkpoints were terrible. I'd often get through a hard fought shootout then get killed by something like a dinosaur or soldier and I'd get thrown to the last checkpoint which was often too far back so I had to do the whole thing all over again. Very frustrating.

@steevo420vallejo This game is awesome. Never mind this guy's negative take on the game. This game is very fun, and never gets old. The graphics are great. The scenery is beautiful. The story is a good story, but they don't go too in depth with it because they wanted that unsettling mystery feel to compel you through the game. And, this game is hard! This guy is lying. It starts out at a decent difficulty, but just gets harder as you progress through the game. It will keep you interested.

I can't believe anybody who would say this game is not challenging. This is one of the hardest games I've ever played and I've been a gamer since I was 4. I might have an easier time if I play through the game again but damn this game frustrated the hell out of me. From the clumsy level design to the near impossible boss battles, this game seemed to try everything in its power to piss me off. I must have died at least several hundred times by the end of the game. Still, it has its fun moments.

That would be cool. I'm not sure how well Turok 2008 did sales wise. At least one Turok game comes out every console generation so one can hope that a new game will come out on the Xbox 720 and PS4 at some point, maybe within the next couple years.

I agree about how the Kane knife fight would have made a good ending. What I didn't like about the T-Rex boss at the end is how much punishment it can take. Totally unrealistic. How could a T-Rex take multiple rocket hits and still survive? lol

i found this game waay to hard at times, and its usually the game fault for having you killed, a couple shots will have you killed, half the time your screen will be on red just because of a couple of scratches, terrible game in my opinion
