You give an excellent presentation! I was very impressed by the lack of "filler" words/talk. You had very few ums-ohs. There were none of the You knows...or buts ands and ifs. (I know...huh? Kills me to say/hear that saying out of sort!) Pls, if you've not done already, consider joining the local Toast Masters. Peers meet 1 to 4 times monthly- some with a lot of experience and others with some and many with no public speaking skills. Everyone follows instructional books- all focused on the type of skills needing improvement and those that need other skills honed. It's cheap, fun and easy. You'll be critiqued and have the opportunity to critique others in their delivery of speeches-funny stories-instructional speeches ECT. There are several mtgs around one's town at varying times thru out the day. Plus once competency has been established and given via TM certificates of completion opportunities for advancement increase w/in the work area. They're world wide and in your local phone book. No cult...they're not allowed 2 advertise and I'm thinking that I'm crossing lines. Oh well...Good job & TY.

Well the heat treating part makes me worry about the molecular change in the stone itself
@SunwestSilverCoInc3 жыл бұрын
Most turquoise on the market has to be hardened to be able to cut. Natural turquoise that comes out of the ground hard enough to work is a true high-grade gemstone. Thanks Illyrian :)
@ivangamer80223 жыл бұрын
@@SunwestSilverCoInc I have few questions. Does the epoxy goes literally everywhere inside the stone or just into the cracks? Also how much heat is being applied? Does the treated feel more a bit plastic or the same as the natural? Asking beause i'd like to make something with turquoise. Thanks
@SunwestSilverCoInc3 жыл бұрын
@@ivangamer8022 No, it doesn't feel plastic - if you are familiar with Sleeping Beauty Turquoise - that is one of the softest stones with very little coming out that is hard enough to work naturally. It's a good example of beautiful stabilized turq. For more technical answers - you can contact our stone room directly and Michael will be able to talk with you about the stabilization process. You can reach him at MTurano@SunwestSilver.com or 1-800-771-3781. He'll be best to answer all your questions! Thanks Illyrian

@SunwestSilverCoInc4 жыл бұрын
hi Annette! There is a beautiful stone that is not turquoise but is called White Buffalo, and also turquoise that is white (very faint tint of color) from Nevada's Dry Creek mine that is considered to be true turquoise. We have a video on White Buffalo here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4emgIKYptKVrpo. Thanks!

Are Mexican Sonora turquoise 100% natural or stabilized? Thanks

@@SunwestSilverCoInc Is there a way to tell between natural versus stabilized? I've heard you can use UV to test whether if it's natural. Is there any other method? Thanks and have a nice weekend!
@SunwestSilverCoInc5 жыл бұрын
@@anthonychan3483 Generally turquoise that is not stabilized is going to be sold as 'Natural' and the price will be much higher than stabilized stone. Most turquoise used in finished jewelry is stabilized. I am not familiar with testing that can tell the difference. It often comes down to establishing trust with your trader & knowing who you buy from. Thanks Anthony!
@anthonychan34835 жыл бұрын
@@SunwestSilverCoInc Often traders don't even know what they're selling. They probably got them from another dealer. Last year, I bought a stabilized turquoise that was sold as 'Natural' from an AGTA dealer at Tucson. Gladly, I was able to get my money back. Thanks.
@SunwestSilverCoInc5 жыл бұрын
@@anthonychan3483 Sorry to hear that, and glad you got your money back. When you buy stone like that, you can always ask for the stone id in writing.. Trusted traders will not want to sell you something on false terms, they are in the business because they love it & love the stone, they'll always be willing to stand by what they sell you. Hope you make it to New Mexico some day to shop turquoise Anthony!
