Yes!!!! Where has this been for my whole life ? Omg. All the sleepless nights I’ve endured ... u all need to be very thankful 😂 for the ability to have the ability to utilize sounds / noise like this and not have to just suffer through so many seemingly endless experiences that many of us have , before the internet / phones / devices were so readily equipped with solutions to drown out all the noisy sounds of people that don’t give a crapppppp !! Oh my lord Jesus, I’m so thankful to have things like this to allow all the loud sounds that have kept me awake and exhausted for so long at bay... finally ! Of course , I’ve been listening to sleep sounds ? Various frequencies / brainwave frequencies and those that incorporate certain hertz Pitches& vibrations to assist with attenuating an endogenous response to frequencies needed in order to produce certain stimulation or heightened sensations of whichever chem. Are involved to aid In induction of sleep cycles and it’s been a welcomed impactful opportunity to have various sounds to utilize either for sleep purposes to initiate lucid dreaming or astral projection or to just silence the loud noise around the environment, it’s truly fortunate to have something so smooth and inclusive of such balanced , calming , thick sounds layered upon layer , to cover the span or range of any possible sounds that would otherwise be startling and alarming for someone who’s seeking silence amidst the noise ... it’s nice to know that In effort to silence the noise around us, we may use none other than NOISE as our weapon of combat to peacefully resolve the chatter and the loud intermittent sounds that so often plague our minds and keep us awake or take away from any restful sleep .. and it’s cool to know we can use a vast array of “ noises” in the color spectrum as both a way to silence the outside noise around us ... or as we way of being able to drown out the sounds of silence , in the event that we’d just want to fill in the void , if ever silence seems to barren and empty.,. In which case , if ever I find things too quiet when it’s just me and I’ve ever began to feel uneasy and unable to rest bc or uncomfortable silence , I’ve chosen things like rainfall and a nice Cozy fireplace scene amidst a warm comfy little cabin , lit by the fireplace and candle light with sounds of rainfall or perhaps, snow SoundS in the distance to allow for a warm and peaceful environment that’s more comforting, as even if it’s still just a tool to allow for rest and to drown out any sounds / noise that keeps me from being able to rest , whether it’s the more clinical of sounds in these type “ noises” or sounds or familiar comforting noise , they’re still very good options to have and one do the few things online that serve a useful purpose imo .. as I don’t really care for the internet when it comes to most things 😆. These Always appeal to me most , when I’ve found myself unable to find comfort or to just relax and calm down . Too many loud things going on so much of the time when I’m needing rest the most.

I would like to know the convention of how these sounds are named. Are they subsets of white noise? If that’s the case, are each of the sounds correlated to their color? I would like to see a color wheel if that is true

I believe they are named after their frequencies. They correlate to the frequencies we see certain colors at. (I could be wrong)

@@pastelk incorrect...light vibrates at a much higher frequency than audible sound waves. The colors are just arbitrary names for sounds with different frequencies being stronger than others. White noise has equal intensity at each frequency. Pink noise has has less power per octave..so instead of sounding like static white noise, the upper frequencies are rolled off. Brown noise is even more rolled off than pink noise.

White noise is a sample of ALL the audible frequencies, so it’s got a mix of highs and lows. It’s called white because in visible light, “white” is the combination of all visible frequencies. To our ears, the highs and lows average out. The other “colors” are certain bands of frequencies - higher or lower, or maybe mixes of certain bands. I don’t know how they match color names to different sounds. I think that is just arbitrary?
