I love all the sounds the A2’s make. The click, clack, chick the pin gate and turret make in sync… the clanking of the pinwheel, the dropping of 10 pins onto the rollers… It’s so beautiful and although noisy, I’ve learned to hone in on each individual machine and individual assemblies. Working on them is such a joy.

I’m always amazed how the A2 functions without a single piece of electronic circuitry all electromechanical operation.

Am I missing something? What stops the cross conveyer from attempting to feed more pins when the pin gate is down? Is it the clutch that you had to fix in one of your previous videos? I've always been fascinated with the Brunswick machines. The mechanic at our local lanes brought me back when I was real young back in the 1960's to watch the A's they had in operation. Sadly, I found out last week, that they are going to auction off by pieces the contents. The end of an era of tenpin bowling in my hometown.

Is there a difference between the A and the A2?

Turret is identical. The A vs A2 difference is mainly the cushion and the rake release Then the A2 uses electronic triggering for the time delay where the A has a mechanical needle valve time delay on the gearbox. So the A and A2 otherwise are identical
