I wanted to say I just saw this on my TV and the video looks terrible! For ease I downloaded the lesson video I did from KZbin, cut it and re-encoded it. Not doing that again!
@MarkJKLawrenceКүн бұрын
I think that when you upload it takes a while for the HD to appear?
@TurrigenousOfficialКүн бұрын
I think the problem is when I Dled it from KZbin it didn't download 1080 but 720

You're keeping something alive right now that sadly has dwindled in this reality. Creativity, inspiration and real performance. Thank you for all your contributions to the community and keeping the spirit of Allan with us.

Truly beautiful, you've done a great service to Allan's memory, real dedication and scholarship in everything you've published 🙏

I listened to this several times and it was always impossible to question such profundity but I always appreciate how you can capture Allan's galactic solace and bring it here back to Earth and be an open channel of for a language that's already long traveled far beyond my comprehension. It's a privilege to see his complex benevolence converted back into physical manifestation. So brilliant.

So beautiful I could cry. What an absolutely beautiful voice that man had. Your sound is so spot on I doubt i could tell the difference between his and yours. Very well done John. So much respect for all you've done in his honor. I'm really enjoying it. PS: I tried that 7 fret stretch at 2:02. I couldn't even fret all the notes. I wear XXL gloves. How?
@TurrigenousOfficialКүн бұрын
Thank you so much!! Well the frets are all about the same distance as the 12th fret on a normal guitar so it's a bit easier haha

Amazing thank you for all the wonderful information you have put out. Your magic stomp videos helped me setup my MS. The piano tones you used on sphere of innocence was beautiful aswell.
@TurrigenousOfficial2 күн бұрын
Thanks! I used a VST that sampled real pianos so it was pretty easy. I've joked the SA is more powerful now because of all the instruments you can control via midi!

Dude, I saw you say in another video that you have smaller than average hands, but your pinky is an absolute unit 😂 no wonder you can pull off those stretches with ease. Anyway, great job!
@TurrigenousOfficialКүн бұрын
Haha thanks. It took a lot of work! I clearly remember trying to play a Jason Becker Em arpeggio and my picky couldn't reach the 12th fret with my first on the 7th!
@halocupid2 күн бұрын
Great playing! Even though it's an old upload it's appreciated! Was curious if you had any insight on how Allan created the sounds in his track Oneiric Moor. (An obscure tune of his, but one of my favorites!)
@TurrigenousOfficial2 күн бұрын
From what I remember it's just two improvised swell chordal things that he put together. Wasn't written or anything.
Ouch! I can't stretch like that. Synth tone sounding so nice.
@TurrigenousOfficial2 күн бұрын
Thanks! Someone else created the sound for me. I have no idea how to use those synths haha. But it's a great string sound

How has a modern synthaxe design never been made?? This thing seems by far better than any modern guitar synth controller... the level of nuance holdsworth was able to get out of this thing could never be achieved by the modern guitar synth products
@TurrigenousOfficialКүн бұрын
Not a lot of people into it. Also it's not really a guitar so using a midi pickup is more natural for a guitar player
