Just the information i was looking for to decide between the two. I do watch youtube and movies and play games (Once Human, Starfield, No Man's Sky etc). I needed something decent for all of it. I ordered the Stealth 700 afterward and got just what i was looking for. Thank you so much for the straight forward discussion. Liked, subscribed, commented and shared.

I had the previous gen Stealth 700. I liked them, but the clamp force was murder. I got the Stealth Pro because of good reviews, and because the Audeze Maxwell was in perpetual pre-order. The one thing I hate about the Stealth Pro is the imprecise and wonky volume wheel You're right about media consumption being subpar on both headsets. Also, the Bluetooth range is horrible on both. I tried out the TB open back headset, which I really liked, and had a much better BT range, though no simultaneous BT. But a firmware update drastically lowered the volume of the open back, so I returned it (I've read that a newer update restored the volume).

I did do a review on the Atlas Air as well, I thought it was okay but nothing ground breaking in the slightest The next thing TB needs to work on will be bringing the Mic from the stealth pro to a more affordable level and improving on it from there!
@Noneya5555Ай бұрын
@TooMuchTech I actually liked the Atlas Air, though I think TB intentionally hobbled it so it wouldn't cannabalize sales of the Stealth 700. The SQ of the Atlas Air made games sound more natural to me. In fact, it wasn't until I heard the open-back, that I noticed the reverberations in the earcups of closed-back headsets. But yeah, TB needs to lower the price of the Stealth Pro, especially as the charging dock isn't feature-packed like the Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro, and the rechargeable batteries don't last as long.

SteelSeries Sonar is the key, at least for making the headsets excellent for listening to music/movies. You cannot have a headset be tuned for games and for music at the same time, but you can switch between profiles for when you want to listen to one or the other. If you want to listen to music while you game, you're just going to have to sacrifice the footsteps/gunshots to a certain degree. To hear those, you need to bring the highs way forward while using spatial/surround sound which will make music sound like it's coming out of a tin can. You can find a happy medium for listening to music while gaming, but you will have to sacrifice something on both...Like you'll have to sacrifice a little bit on the low end/bass for music and a little on the high end for the footsteps/gunshots (disabling spatial audio will also help, but then you really lose that positioning advantage in games). So if you can deal with that, go for it and enjoy or have a profile where you can listen to music while gaming when you're playing more casual matches, a profile for strictly gaming for more serious/ranked matches, and a profile for strictly music/cinema/videos. These headsets are a lot more versatile than some people are willing to see by simply using EQ/different EQ profiles for different things. I have the Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max, Stealth Pro, SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless, and Arctis Nova Pro. I can make all of them sound extremely similar in each scenario with Sonar (sonar works with all headsets/headphones) and I much prefer it to the EQ software any other manufacturer has released. In order of my favorite to least favorite (what I think sounds the best) Arctis Pro Wireless (with 3rd party pleather ear pads, stock ear pads lose a lot of the sound and would put these lower on the list using them) Arctis Nova Pro/Stealth Pro (tied for 2nd and nearly identical in overall rating, both have some slight pros/cons that make one or the other better in different areas) Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max
@Noneya5555Ай бұрын
@@percy4209 Thanks for the suggestion. I have the Arctis Nova 7X, but I find the SQ too boxy, the clamp force too weak (even with the Wicked Cushions earpads), and the mic terrible. Of the headsets you stated that you have, which do you prefer the most, and why?

If the money isn’t a concern to you and you just want to get a better and better headset each time they come out, then yes return the Gen 2’s and get the Gen 3’s, the extra $50 is worth it for better features, better battery, and multi platform use. If you care about getting the best that TB has to offer and then sit and wait until they finally upgrade the model, the Stealth Pros are my go-to, comfort, boomier and overall feels more rich on its sound design.
