Renee ' most turtles aren't very snappy if raised in captivity. My last turtle would only snap at teeny tiny fish that I gave it to entice it to eat (sometimes he refused food)

This isn't good for a chameleon because glass cages are not that good for chameleons I recommend you put the chameleon in a separate screen cage. Second reason you should put the chameleon in a different cage is because if it eats the fish on accident, it could potentially die. Hope this helped!!

Gouramies, Tiger Barbs, Angelfish and Goldfish in the same tank? you're asking for troubles with such a conflictive mix dude, barbs are aggressive fin nippers, goldfish are coldwater fish that produce insane amounts of bioload and gouramies are labirynthids that need air to breathe, all those fish have different water temperature and PH requirements but you have them all cramped together in that overcrowded tank.

Disagree. I live in Florida and keep ALL my tanks at room temperature, with no issues,and except for Goldfish, I have Tiger Barbs with my Gourami and my Angel. No issues whatsoever. It's amazing how people in the fish hobby always want one size fits all.

I own a chameleon my self he is going on eight years now when expected to live five to six years in captivity as a young chameleon it can be kept in a glass enclosure but not with water covering the bottom. I hope as it grows you move it into a screen cage with some kind of substrate as veiled chameleons don’t always stay up at the top of the cage they can be quite active and love to explore. This enclosure has small land area for it to roam on and the enclosure is not tall enough. I house mine in a three foot by four foot by six foot screen cage. As I said this is fine for now but keep in mind your chameleon will grow to be over a foot long. I believe you have a female and they grow much larger than males do what’s right for the animal. Selfishness does not belong in the animal community.

I love this idea... it looks great, but it’s definitely not a good idea for a chameleon... they can drown in a water bowl, so having a tank half full is not the smartest !! A water dragon would be a better option

That’s very dangerous for the chameleon because they can’t swim. They also need more space to climb, that area they are given is very enclosed and tight. Horrible pet owner. Do your research before buying a pet.

yea file this under good idea bad execution. Nkt all those animals live together. chameleons cant swim and the constant moving water is likely stressing it. its poop could get your fish sick. and its gotta be hard keeping the humidity down. most chameleons cages are mesh not glass. just buy a seperate mesh cage and hang it above your aquarium. then fill your aquarium to the top and build your turtle a platform. That way your chameleon isnt over open water and you still see them all together. i say fill your aquarium because turtles get big and and are dirty. more water the better. ive owned all these animals. i had the chameleon less than 6 months when one day i forgot to close my bedroom window... still have turtle and fish

This is beautiful! BUT! The turtle will grow and eat just about everything including taking bites out of the chameleon. This can only be a temporary set up. I hope you will find a better environment for the both of them soon.

Although this is true in most cases I've yet to see any aggression between these animals as of yet...as long as I keep the turtles well fed I don't anticipate this to happen but most definitely will continue to keep a close eye on them as they grow. I've learned through the years that odd animals can peacefully live together when mixed together at their infant stage (check out my channel for other like setups). But of course this does not mean it cannot happen so I'll make the adjustments accordingly if I start to see any negative behaviors. Thanks for the input...totally appreciate your approach in commenting as most people would bash the idea which I don't even bother commenting back!

Amazingly beautiful! I was thinking that idk lots about chameleons but I do about turtles and when they get to be a certain age they eat just about anything....even if it doesn't move! Buuuuut than I read other responses (some to harsh) and saw that u responded back that you moved the chameleon which is awesome sauce :) I love the set-up still, thanks for the inspiration! Chameleons aren't the best swimmers like all your complainers keep yelling about in the comment section but they can swim pretty decent. When I was down in south America on vacation I saw several swimming across streams and big pockets of water that were equally as deep for whatever reason. They blow up their mid section with air like a frog or toad and paddle across like a human on an inflated tube or raft, so people need to calm down about the chameleons can't swim at all bull crap. The only thing I would be concerned about would be the turtle and the reason for that is IF the chameleon decided to come for a drink of water or was just curious the turtle might take a bite just cause he's curious after all water turtle of all sorts are opportunistic eaters and will try to eat anything that might be or look edible. All in all I really liked your setup pretty unique trying to combine the two species and their needs but I would of put more climbing branches or vines across the top. I also would of put a climbing wall on the back which you can buy for extra security for the chameleon and then I would of considered putting live aquatic plants "none toxic" in the substrate which would act as a filter for the water and fish but offer food for the fish as well. It's bad long term. Goldfish do in fact need cooler water but if you tank the tropicals fish's lowest healthy temp, and the goldfish's highest possible temp, there are some that could (but not always) work out. But not every fish will work.
