I used the TW last weekend and found it a little harder to get the wax out of the tin and the removal seeming a little more grabby than the traditional high content carnauba wax I have been using. I did like the results of the TW. On the next application, I might try warming the TW up a bit to see if I can get it to apply a little easier.

It's a decent wax but time has not done it any favours and there are now much easier and longer lasting waxes available. The TW wax is far easier to use.

I have been enjoying the Turtle Wax 75th wax. I have noticed that it does benefit from a third clean towel buff, which seems to really make the gloss pop. I realize that is a bit more work and not absolutely necessary, but the difference is noticeable.

The TW Paste after several applications within a week on the flat red paint on my GTI is fabulous. Added shade of depth to the color and gloss after 3 weeks is exceptional. H2O repellancy has been exceptional as well. After 4 weeks and several washings I have added a topper of the Graphene FLEX Wax spray...gawdayamn! Bah-ling!.... noooo complaints. Good video here!

ok guys, I have been an AG user for 25 years now and always been very very happy with the products. I am very content with the UHD but its so darn pricey!!! Now, what would you guys say if I ought to ask which one gives the deepest shine? TW or AG? I am really tempted to try this TW, and this at half the price! Great video , if you have a ceramic sealant on say garage therapy three would you or could you put a wax on top of that for xtra protection? Just wondering why waxes are popular since everyone is ceramic crazy at the moment.

Waxes are great toppers for a sealant, it's an extra sacrificial layer. They're still popular as waxing is considered therapeutic these days.

Thanks Nigel. Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax is hard to beat for price and performance. Turtle Wax Hybrid Sealant Wax (new name for Sealant Hydrophobic Wax) is incredibly good, fast and easy to use (spray wax) and decent value too. You can layer it too for longer durability.

Great video. how would you use this in combination with Turtle Wax's Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating. Would you use this one as a topper to the HS Spray Coating? or this one as a base and then top it with the HS Spray Coating?

The HS spray coating takes 24 hours to cure and needs 2 coats to get the best durability, so if you have the time then I'd use the wax as a topper. The question is - how long do you need your protection to last? For time efficiency I'd use the wax as a base and top it regularly with HS quick detailer and it'll always look fresh.

Nice one Specky. Turtle Wax certainly got the hype train steaming by adding ceramic AND graphene - is that a first? From what I've seen its not a massive amount better than some products which cost considerably less but people will buy it just to try it. The Supergloss is oily and I've found oily waxes easy to apply but have poor durability. Looking forward to your next video already 👍

After watching the film. I currently use wowo's 121 and have found the beading really good and water repels from the car on driving. The durability of the graphene interests me. Maybe you could do a long term real world test on it. I hope that stocks become available in the near future.

Good video. Good comparison. Now to my problem with paste waxes...all of them. A detailer won’t ever use these unless a customer wants them. Paste waxes are for individual enthusiasts who enjoy using them. The spray on/wipe off sealants are 10 times easier to use and will last longer. The other pet peeve I have with all paste waxes are the amount of wax you get. There’s enough for 100 or more applications. You’ll never use that much on your own vehicles and if you’re a detailer...you’ll use the easier products over the paste wax.

Am curious...I'm a driveway enthusiast. Although points made here for paid detailers who are looking for quick/easy/sound job/on to the next car...how many of all the viewers here are actually those paid professionals? No ill will intended certainly but I bet that most of the subscribers and viewers here are casual weekend warriors which are the majority demographic who watch most of the dozens of detailing channels on KZbin. That viewership is not particularly interested in turning X amount of clients over in a day and have a more casual time and focused approach to their own vehicles. Efficiency and time management for the pro's are one thing - most of us are not and for that reason take a different viewpoint and approach. Yep, sprays and synthetics are convenient, fast and effective. Pastes and natural applications still have a solid place if not for the convenience or extended durability but perhaps the Zen of application and the LOOK👈 that it gives one's vehicle. For me the results of Carnuba on my flat red paint is unsurpassed. Great vid - there are STILL a lot of us out there who are at the least curious about this form of application.

Soft 99 waxes are great and offer exellent value for money I find the built hamber wax to be overated In the detailing comunity tbh the same with sonax bsd which is horrible to apply and remove unless you mix it with another qd Works well mixed 50/50 with car plan no1 gloss

looks like i need to go for a real world test with the TW and good ol' BH DSW. Shame it didn't really show any noticeable difference on camera between the waxes. It would have been nice to see a wow factor on application. I still think BH is the winner in this test, due to price per ml and number of applications per pot and the same chemical resistance as the winner.

Carnauba wax doesn't last as long so I'd suggest applying the Graphene + ceramic wax first as a base layer and use the Carnauba wax as a topper.

Great test mate turtle wax is a new product yet to be seen in 6 months time it's got to be better then who soft 99 otherwise it a total failure and with both those ingredients in their it should be a lot better what is the durability and life expectancy of bilt hamber I cannot find anywhere with it tells me it lasts so many months a year

Figuring out how long a product lasts is not easy. So many factors change the outcome like where you live, where the car is stored, weather, temperature, humidity, road conditions etc. If you want your protection to last a year then get a ceramic coating.

I'm not a detailer so I can't tell you everything but here are a few tips. Learn everything you can, be informed as possible. Manage your customers expectations, don't sell a full paint correction when all they want is a maintenance wash and protection.

I enjoyed this test a lot, and I’m amazed that Collinite 476 did not fare better. It’s still a great wax at the price, and one that I own and enjoy using. It would be great to se a similar format review of «enthusiast» hybrid waxes, that typically look good on dark paint. Collinite 915, Bilt Hamber Finis wax, Poorboy’s world Nattys blue, Soft 99 Authentic premium or Kiwami to name but a few 😀

I've been using turtle wax graphene paste wax ever since it was launched and it gives great initial protection and water displacement etc but i have been really disappointed with longevity. I've had 2 weeks max out of it before the water stops beading off and ends up with a flooded panel. I'm in the UK and my car does less than 100 miles per week, quite often in the rain.

How does it behave when you wash it? Flooding can happen simply by water clinging to dirt on the surface of the paint. Waxes and sealants don't stop dirt sticking to the car, they're essentially a sacrificial layer on top of the paint. Protection still requires washing so try that and see if the beading/sheeting returns.

@@SpeckyMcSporran This is flooding after washing using dodo juice born to be mild. I wash once per week no matter the mileage and after 2 washes i lose most beading. I apply using a meguiars applicator sponge pad and buff off with micro fibre after a few minutes. I can't work out whether this is expected behaviour and i'm asking too much from the wax or whether it's just not as good as it should be.

@@SpeckyMcSporran cold water pressure wash, envy care care bubbly jubbly PH neutral snow foam, cold water pressure wash, dodo juice dual bucket hand wash with warm water, cold water pressure wash, dry with meguiars towel (2 of those normally). I normally do a clay bar when the weather starts getting nice which will be soon but not done it for around 6 months or so.

I'm going to guess there's a few things that could be happening. 1 - your wax hasn't bonded properly due to contaminants on the paint that your wash process hasn't removed. 2 - the wax has not cured properly due to temperatures/conditions/time. 3 - the wax has failed somehow in the manufacturing process. I'd recommend using a polish/pre-wax cleanser to remove the wax on a section of the paint and reapply to test the wax again. If it performs better then you'll get a better idea if what might be wrong.

Bilt hamber is the clear winner in price and performance. Turtle wax was starting to show weakness towards the end. Autoglym being classed as a luxury wax is an insult to good waxes everywhere.

Bilt hamber would of won hands down in the cheap and nasty waxes it's good for the price yes bilt hamber are a great brand for everything else waxes not in my opinion and AG U H D wax is superior to bilt hamber only in my opinion though 🤔🤣👍

Looked like the built hamber was beating the turtle wax in your chemical test Infinity waxes graphine wax would be a better test against the turtle wax old formula fusso or jayswax extreme for chemical resistance ive not found anything better yet

Actually, this is not a real test. You need to apply all the waxes to the hood of a car and drive it in the elements, leave it parked outside 24/7 in sun, acid rain, etc. let the sun bake in road grime, salt, dirt, etc. Do you weekly washes and leave it parked outside, continue to drive it in rain, dust, hot sun, etc. Then tell us how these waxes held up after 6 months. That’s a real world test.

@@BW-kv9wj I can't get more than 2 weeks out of an application of the TW in the UK before the panels start to flood instead of bead off. I was expecting more if i am honest as I can get the same performance with a spray wax (like megiuars hybrid ceramic spray wax) which obviously takes significantly less time to apply.
