Turtle WoW and the Glyph of War

I personally love the glyph of war im leveling currently level 25 almost level 26 on my first turtle wow character yeah im getting ganked and crap but its part of the journey i chose it therefore getting ganked is annoying by a 60 sucks sure but seeing that hordie around my level and having an honorable fight against them makes it all worth it

I'm not sure how to tell you, but that honorable duel at max level is exceedingly unlikely to happen as 99% of "world pvp" is just one guy that's 30 levels higher instantly killing another guy

@@transgamergirl5004 Yeah, when it's a rare event, or even common it's perfectly fine. You do occasionally run into the guy who says stuff like the guy in the video that "Being killed over and over is a risk you take and part of the game, it's been in since the beginning." Ignoring the fact that anti-griefing policies and the explanation that it's intended for you to be able to kill a noob, but specifically picking him out to follow around, or corpse camp is considered harassment and against policy has been a thing since the beginning. I always thought if you constantly killed people more than 20 levels under you, and had no close to your own level kills between them you got a derogatory title you couldn't turn off and all your faction npc's made fun of you for being a coward.

Imo the glyph of war shouldn't have an xp bonus, instead it should have an honor bonus of 25% or so, this way it's just a pvp glyph and still usable at 60

As a PvP enjoyer, I appreciate the 30% bonus attached to the glyph. It makes for more targets out in the world to attack who just took the glyph for leveling speed and aren't particularly hard to kill. Makes it more like the PvP servers of old.

As a PvP enjoyer I love bgs and arenas, but I wholeheartedly hate ganking enjoyers. So thank god that this glyph is optional and not a mandatory debuff for all characters.

Am getting killed in glyph war 2 times with lvl 12 char in durotar by lvl 60 , i don't know which lvl is good to desactivate it and stop the risk to be OS again ?

So people are just gonna turn it off at 60. Even if they actually want to pvp, the incentive is still to turn it off because then you will always get the first jump.

Most will yeah. At least they get the choice now - imagine being flagged forever...aside from mission tables, I can't think of anything more appalling.

It wasn't very clear at all that you could only turn it off one time. I thought you could go back to the glyph vendor and turn it off as many times as you wanted so I turned it back on one day for a long session of grinding tigers, only to go back to the vendor and, nothing. I was horrified to ask in chat about it and learn that you could never turn it off again. My hardcore character was level 30 at this point, ruined. I haven't played any more since.

I think it's a bug that you can enable it again, because when you ask the vendor to disable it he says "once and for all".

When playing on servers with similar mechanics, I tend to switch characters if i get ganked more then twice in a row. Im an altoholic tho so i always have something to switch to :P

I think it should be diminishing returns after a certain level cap.. like if you're 60 you wont get any honor points from a level 1 or you get like 1-5 Hps which in turn would deter a 60 pvper from wasting their time.

But they're not wasting their time - they actually enjoy one-shotting lowbies. I don't understand why, but I respect their choice.

First off, XP helps both PVE and PVP players. We all have to level up. Secondly, why is a PVE player rolling on a PVP server to begin with? There shouldn't even be an option to turn it off. There wasn't in vanilla. So, I just reversed the one argument you had for stats. Last, but not least, the XP boost is meant to make up some of the time you lost leveling "while being ganked" because that's the only thing you lose when you get ganked. So it makes perfect sense. They're protecting YOU (the carebear.) If I get ganked, my first move is to start a war take over the area. If that fails. I take a break. The wars that break out, are why I bother to login. It's why I don't play retail anymore. Nothing is fair in life. Not even the fictional side of it.

Hmm. I think the 30% extra xp is bad and I like pvp servers. I actually found out by playing classic that I really like rp-pvp server called zandalar tribe. :)

I don't really understand the controversy. You flagged, for the exp bonus or not, that's your problem lmao. Unless you're being spawn camped (Which is a form of griefing), then stop crying. You chose this.
