The way he designed a solid, folding, locking tent was amazing. It would last for ever, had a cool roof window, and the track system for collecting water was cool as hell.

One of the best trailers on the market I've been able to find for the $$ from what I've seen on Jason Koertge's and Overland Adventure's vids. Extremely well thought out Turtelback!

One of my most favorite features is the trailers are MADE IN THE UNITED STATES. 👏🇺🇲👏 I'm definitely considering this unit over others as it supports American jobs and American industry.

@@TurtlebackTrailers where are you located? Might be very much interested in buying one next year to pull behind my 2023 Tacoma trd off road truck. I will be turning 59 in October so by next March I can take monies out of my 401k savings plan and nolonger have to pay that 10% early federal withdrawal penalty. Think I would prefer having a tent trailer more tgen adding a rack and rooftop tent onto my Tacoma truck bed since it is my daily driver vehicle. I live in the tri cities in northeast Tennessee bearby kingsport, TN do we have lots of cool overlanding areas up in tge east tennessee and western nc mountains that I want to go exploring and do more overlanding/off grid type camping. Gor tires od living in tge rat race on richmkbd, va over tge previous 34years. So getting out in Batur is what I prefer to do in my midlife 50's and older retired years.

Thanks for sharing, looks like a great rig and rivals some of those coming out of Australia. I've watched Jason's 45-min walk-a-round video (and others), but still have some questions. 1) where can/do you store a fridge and/or cooler? 2) do any of the lights have a red-light option to help maintain night vision? 3)please show tarp/canopy deployed over the kitchen area. Keep smashing it guys, you're doing great work!

Fridges are an option but are best in the vehicle. The lights are down angled properly to reduce glare. Check out our website for awning photos 👍

I think its a nice rig. I haven't decided for sure whether to go turtleback trailer or mount a roof top tent over the bed of my nissan titan 4x4. Extreme terrain makes me hesitant on the trailer. Enjoyed the show.

@TurtlebackTrailers5 жыл бұрын
A fridge can be installed but they perform best when installed in the vehicle due to the conditioned air. It also allows you to take your food and beverages with you when base-camped.

How did the name TURTLEBACK come to fruition considering a Turtle lives in the sea and you make 4x4 trailers? A Tortoise lives on land and can be seen in some pretty arid areas. Also either animal on its back would mean it’s very possible that’s it’s going to die? Just an honest question? I’d honestly love to know how the name came about. Great trailers…keep them coming.
