Fun fact: gargoyles were carved into the sides of cathedrals as guardian beasts who ward off demonic forces from the church. The gargoyle cracked and reacted to Frollo because it recognized the demonic influence within him and sent it to Hell where it belonged. Frollo realized this just before the end, hence his startled expression. He finally recognized the corruption within himself, too late to do anything about it.

Even after Clayton tried murdering Tarzan and killing his family, Tarzan still tried to stop him from hanging himself trying to get to him in thickheaded anger. One of the most well made, brutal deaths in Disney history. Alongside Ursula who was stabbed and electrocuted, Dr. Facilier who’s dillydallying with voodoo and dark magic finally caught up to him, and Frollo who fell into a metaphorical hell while holding a piece of a church.

And then you have the MCU - which has chopped by a turbine one (couple times), drowning (even if not done well), disintegration, melted, decapitation, electrocution, explosion, burned to death, impalement, neck break by magic cape, trapped in walls, and on down a list of things even before you get to what some consider the darker films like Infinity War and Endgame (or Ragnorak which kinda borders in to dark comedy). But y'know 'mindless kid friendly junk'. Something that really annoyed me as someone who actually prefers DC over Marvel (but I do like both) but had major issues with the DCEU, and still kinda do - all the people going 'your just mad cause it's not all sunshines and rainbows like Marvel' - who clearly never actually paid attention to a Marvel movie, or have never seen Batman the Animated Series, or the old DCAU, the original 2 Superman movies (which are admittedly on the lighter side but can go dark), or the 1989 Batman film (which leans a bit darker) which basically - is the tone that the MCU goes for which while it can lean lighter or darker - is still overall balanced.
