When you see sea turtles with barniculs on them, do the barniculs make the turtles shell go soft if the barniculs have been on them for a long time.??

Hi, i'm from Germany, and we have only one designation: "Schildkröten" for both. We have a different for "Wasserschildkröte" (life in water) or "Landschildkröte" (life on land). I'd never heard this differend in english, but i know both words. But now, i have a funny question: the "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles", they are Turtles or Tortoise? Thanks for your explanations and i wish you all the best.

Tortoises 🐢 are land dwelling reptiles, but turtles are used to water. 😊👍👍

Probably different! You see, turtles are known to walk on land & swim in water! And tortoises only prefer on land to be in fact!🐢 Trembling Ankylosaurus!

I thought the turtles on the Galapagos islands were the biggest tortoises. Or is that the same breed as Igloo and you guys are just using his official name?
