Scotland Fan Party, Tartan Army in Cologne Euro 2024 Full Day Impressions. Schottland Fan Party Köln

Scotland played against Switzerland / Suisse in Cologne on 19 June 2024 at the European Championship / Euro 2024. Beforehand, there was a huge party in the old town, at the main railway station / Central Station, at the cathedral and also at the fan march in the early evening. The Scottish fans (Bravehearts, Tartan Army) impressed with their cheerful mood and their singing, supported by bagpipers. Songs such as Flower of Scotland, Caledonia (Dougie MacLean), Loch Lomond (Runrig), Sunshine on Leith (Proclaimers) were sung (see in the video). Our video shows all the moments of this fantastic day.

Schottland spielte am 19. Juni 2024 bei der EM / Euro 2024 gegen die Schweiz in Köln. Vorher gab es eine riesige Party in der Altstadt, am Hauptbahnhof, am Dom und auch beim Fanmarsch am frühen Abend. Die schottischen Fans (Bravehearts, Tartan Army) beeindruckten durch ihre fröhliche Stimmung und ihren Gesang unterstützt von Dudelsackspielern. Football is a good opportunity to show the world that it comes to friends. Sure a win is nice and of course we celebrated, but like you said: Football should connect and unite. Thank you for all your videos (so far) showing what a good time the Scots had in Germany while attending the EUROS and how welcoming the Germans have been to our "Tartan Army", even though some of the more humourous aspects of their presentations might have been missed. For example, the "Ailsa Craig Tartan Army". Ailsa Craig is an uninhabited island in the Firth of Clyde, (Clyde Estuary). 😂😂

That made me really happy, my scottish brothers and sisters in party mode. For me, this is the real Europe. As far as Germany is concerned, I no longer know which country I live in. For the first time in my life, as a German, I'm not for the German team. That has something to do with the extreme political left wing orientation and the oppressiveness that reigns in my country. That’s a big issue here and has been since the referendum. Scotland voted massively to stay in the EU as did Northern Ireland. England and wales voted to leave so we had no choice but to go. Trust me the majority of Scots I know really want to return.
