This is the 2nd story of hmong make up artists for the dead that I've heard. Unlike others who criticize you negatively, I'd like to commend you for doing it. You're certainly more brave than most of us hmong. I would've thought they'd do a closed casket on that lady who had the car accident since her face sounded pretty bad. Unfortunately you'd eventually come across those like that. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. I'm sad for you about your friend. I'm glad you're better, but just remember, you can't mix darkness with light. You're either hot or cold, not lukewarm. No in between.

Niam laus, you do a good job at speaking in english, using metaphors, similes, and so on. I’m proud of you. You actually do try and it’s so cute. I think it’s stupid idea for our hmong people to become make- up artist for dead body. Don’t do it! No matter how much you get pay. It’s not worth it.

Its not stupid. Hmong people should be able to do anything they want. The question is, should each individual do? Thats up to the person. We are more in tune to the spiritual world which shouldn't limit us. Because of what she does for a living she was able to help the girl's spirit and find the body even if it didn't happen the way it should have or wanted to. Every thing happens for a rason and it lead to her current business.

That’s very true. Most time parents wait for the date to come pick up their daughters. But one thing in the story that the MUA brought up was about no one not seeing her after she dies, almost hinting that she lived alone. Wished she explained it.

I think it was the spirit and fate that brought them together. The spirit called for her service giving her a head’s up she’ll be doing her makeup. Zoo li thaum ib tug twb mus lawm los tseem los hais bye.

@@MonaLisa-de4cp Yes. This is about the 4th one I heard. One was also about the person going to see the funeral home for a relative or what not the following week, came to find out, he’s been dead and it was his service that week he was referring to

@beevang5096, why would you think this story was fake? I have heard way too many stories like this. There were stories that the decease went to the funeral home before the funeral even had the dead body. Frigging scary...
