Is it necessary to keep engine on while using tyre inflator from battery health perspective? Asking because 12V socket in VAG cars remain always on

If it’s for a single tyre you can continue without engine on. For multiple tyres better to keep engine running. Again if your running is less better using it while engine on always

I recently got the GT Plus version and refilled the tyers with Nitrogen. Is this still a good buy to inflate when on the highway.

Filling of nitrogen regularly is good practice. But sometimes in middle of a trip or even in parking, if we notice low pressure and don’t have time for nitrogen filling it’s useful. Again it can be used for regular checking of tyre pressure.

The specifications of both are almost same, the one I own is a newer model and its design is more modern like placement of light etc, you may choose one according to your choice

You will rarely need to run it for 30 min continuously. Mostly I have tested for 10 min.

It’s performing very well. Recently i completed a 3400km long trip. I can say it was a life saver. Helped several times to inflate punctuated tires.
