ALL: Bamawx, the storm chaser and uploader of this video, died suddenly in 2019 due to liver failure. He was an extremely good and kind man and a friend of mine for 40 years. He was heartbroken and permanently affected by this particular tornado, which ravaged a city he had lived in for many years as an undergrad and graduate student of the University of Alabama. He left behind three young adult sons. He was honored posthumously with a lifetime achievement award by the National Weather Association for three decades of service as a leading storm chaser in Alabama and surrounding areas.

Now that's the way it should be. At one point in my life, I had so many questions, and my heart was open. Some people entertain angels unaware that they're even doing so, and you're absolutely right! It is not our place to judge another. I just happen to be Greek Orthodox, and I used to be, well as one of my seminary friends put it, "one of them raging Protestants." The thing is, I had no idea what I was doing! Yes, I can joke about it, too, because when we're young and somewhat foolish, we think we've got everything figured out. I certainly didn't, and I'm so glad I kept my feet on the ground and my heart pointed heavenward. I had two NDEs, (Near Death Experiences) back when I was ten years old, but I was either too scared to talk about them or simply not ready. At 55, I'm so blessed to be alive, because I've been through some battles with severe chronic pain throughout most of my life, and I do credit God for keeping me from doing myself in, especially when I met others who suffer with the same condition. If you've heard of Trigeminal Neuralgia, you know what I mean, but if you haven't, I hope you never develop the condition. Be blessed.

I have left the comments open on this video for five years even though I have been asked to close it to comments. I have not seen most of them, but I have seen enough to know that a lot of people are unhappy and even angry with me that I prayed while I witnessed this tragedy unfold. Others of you have made very supportive comments. I do not have all the answers, and I will submit that no one does. But you will never convince me to turn anywhere besides the Lord, especially in times such as these. I will also add that many of the victims' families, despite their loss, will say the same thing. No matter our circumstances, God is good all the time. It rains on the just and the unjust. But God is faithful.

jack savas I was raised as a believer. Sometimes I think it might be a bit of a "disadvantage" for lack of a better word. Meaning, for most of my life I never needed to see proof of God's existence. I just took it for granted because I was told that from my earliest memories. Then I entered the field of medicine. The processes which take place in the human body on a microsecond by microsecond basis are dumbfounding. The ultraminute adjustments that the human body makes to it's internal environment on a continual basis to maintain its survivable parameters scream of intelligent design. In fact, all of nature, from the greatest galaxy to the smallest atom is a testimony to the immeasurable power and intelligence of an omnipotent and omniscient being.

Both reactions are okay and understandable. I don't pray, but it's no wonder why people do. You see something like that, and are completely powerless to help or do ANYTHING at that moment for them. @heatherstub4 жыл бұрын
@J BOLD Jesus does not officiate evil. You should know better. That's done by the prince of this world, Satan. Christ is risen! Indeed, He is risen! And hell is terrified, because all its palaces were emptied. If you don't believe me, look it up in Matthew Chapter 27. Look at Job in the Old Testament. God may allow things to happen to us, but it's to check if we truly believe in Him and His goodness and mercy. Like Job said, "The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." You and I and all humanity will stand before His Judgment Seat to give an account of our lives, and everything will be written that we've ever done and/or didn't do. Do we have any excuses? I know i don't, because I know I'm a sinner saved by His grace and mercy. Just think about about it; life is 10% what happens to us, and the other 90% will be dependent on how we responded. Satan and his companions have no chance of salvation, because they've already been judged. It is they who seek to destroy us and this world, because they are God's enemies and our enemies. That having been said, I pray you will seek salvation through Christ, because now you know that He is Glorified, together with His Father who has no beginning and His Life-Giving and Holy Spirit. Both now and forever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Near as I can figure, they're heading for an off-ramp or hoping to avoid it entirely by missing it before or after it crosses the highway. On the highway you're often effectively trapped and I admit I'd be tempted to try and reach an off-ramp to seek shelter in a building rather than try to lay in a ditch. Given that tornado was 10 mph shy of being an EF-5; and uncomfortably close at that -- if he wanted to pray, I'm certainly not going be the one to point my finger and cry, "Shame!" We were driving north through that outbreak to my favorite aunt's funeral. It was the scariest road trip I've ever taken: just as soon as we were out of one tornado warning, we were in another one and this went on FOR 400 MILES! Want to know something? I prayed while we trekked north. My prayers may have been directed to the Blessed Virgin Mary, but I can tell you -- I prayed. I prayed BIG TIME when I found out the town in Tennessee we had passed through -- where I saw the biggest rain drops of my life as we drove through -- was flattened by an EF-4 tornado *20 minutes* after we passed!
