It is always time to retire.....nice to know...update from me....I told you I sold my 22 KLR 650 this year, getting heavy for an old guy.....It was built from the ground up. I have just tonight purchased a 2023 DR 650 with 2000 klm on it. It has a windshield, lowered pegs, and back rack, and a set of risers on it....also threw in a set of led blinkers...all for 5500.00 Canadian.....smoking deal. So I will be doing a build on it this winter...suspension, 5 gal tank, re-jet the carb and remove the pair valve. I am thinking of lowering the height when I do the suspension, as the lowered version is built in. Some sort of navigation tower. and some other goodies. Love the videos. oh off with the death wings tires that are on it. Garth

Congrats on your DR! I sold my KLR a few months back, loved the bike but felt the DR fit better. Slimmed mine back down and am totally stoked it.

Good video and tire review. I use the Kenda K270 on my DR 650. This is more of a 50/50 tire with less aggressive tread then what you are running since 95% of my riding is street. I am 65 and don't ride the bike hard. I got about 7K miles out of the tires and the Kenda's won't brake the bank, if you ever want to try them.

Appreciate you watching! Yes, I had the Kenda 270s on my XT250. They worked just fine for me but I prefer something slightly more aggressive since I do a lot of riding in the desert.

How were those D Sports on the dirt roads to Dianas Punchbowl? We might ride our DRZs out your way (Nevada, Utah, Arizona) in Nov and would like to spend most of the time on dirt roads. Will certainly be an adventure from So Cal. LOL

Do the lighter bikes (xt) wear longer? Unusual for me to see fronts wear so much worse on a dual sport.

Can't say thus far, I don't put the miles on my XT like I do on the DR.
