Boil the tyre in hot water for 15 mins, use tyre irons and 2 people and it’s an easy 5 minute job. I spent a month trying to have a pneumatic tyre fitted to my ninebot max g30. 3 different tyre brands, multiple tyre shops, bike shops, scooter shops and the purchase of a compressor later with no luck and I decided to go for a solid tyre. So glad I did. It feels exactly the same and no more filling with green slime to sort punctures. Highly recommend. I used my knees instead of my feet to mount.

Funnily enough these are the exact wheels I bought for my Xiaomi 1S, then I cam to KZbin for a tutorial, so this is great! I got a flat on my back tyre, but it was cheaper to buy the two wheels during Black Friday so I'm gonna change both for peace of mind.

Yeah these kind of wheels are very good. And they give you more mileage too because they support more weight which means more battery.

I followed your advice to repair the tire that came off after an accident on my new scooter (I've been riding for a few years first accident). Seriously like wrestling John Cena, but I came out on top. I had to muscle up and ended up only having to use two tire levers because I had to get physical and I'm a fat dude so that tire had no chance. Thanks for all the help.

Hi mate, you make it look so easy but I just couldn't do it your way. I think you need to be at least 80kg to press down on the tyre and quite strong, the way I use was wheel on the floor and the tyre over it and used a cable tie to hold the tyre to the wheel, then 2 longer metal lever to pull the tyre over it while I have both foot standing on it.

If you don't care about the old tyre just hacksaw it off. Ideal if it's got a puncture or is just worn, there is a metal ring around the inner edge though but hacksawing the rest will give enough slack to remove the old tyre. Boil the new tyre in a large pot as the guy says but maintain the boiling point for 15+ mins, don't be afraid to use loads of washing up liquid on the rim, tyre and tyre spoons. I used bigger tyre spoons intended for motorcycle wheels. Maybe a good idea to use a towel you don't care about underneath. Also it does make it a whole lot easier to remove the motor, yes it's more hassle up front but then you're not having to worry about the cable getting in the way. It wasn't too bad and I'm 59kg and have twigs for muscles, the difference is boiling it and using washing up liquid, the worst bit is probably the hacksawing and motor removal oh and removing the (factory torqued) 18mm nuts on the wheel assembly

I have one on the back of my pro 2 and ngl apart from not getting punctures it's crap brakes slide out way easier and the ride is extremely bumpy and not uncommon for me to get a headache from it on long rides

For people watching this, its not nearly as easy as he makes it look. Bring your scooter to a pro (repair shop) with the right equipment. Youll understand once you try to mount the tire!

Every effing screw on my Pro 2 has a different profile, so I have to use a different screw driver for every screw. Takes even longer than establishing a bluetooth connection between the scooter and my Xiaomi phone :)

How about the valve hole in the rim, water and dirt get in if it is not blocked. I used silicon-type sealant. Also, in my case there was a plastic collar holding the valve in place and it had to be removed with a small screwdriver before pushing the valve in. But anyway, good job. Looked easier than it really is.

I think these comments are fake. If I knew it would be this hard to take the tyre out I would never go and buy tyres from amazon to mount them myself. Takimlng the mill off was the hardest thing it took hours for us. I wouldnt recommend to change yourself. Just go to a bike repair shop and save yourself from the misery.
