Hello, I just had a quick question. Would you recommend doing three arguments+ counterarguments for each essay, or would it be acceptable to do two larger arguments+ counterarguments instead and go even greater in depth/ use more examples?

Probably would be getting you similar marks if your two paragraph structure was very very well detailed, personally I prefer going for 3 points and counterpoints, developing each one moderately as it allows you more opportunity to evaluate and thus pick up the AO3 marks

@@byullock Ah okay great, thank you! Whenever I'm writing I'm afraid I won't go into a significant amount of detail if I did three points+ counters as I have a tendency to significantly over-write for each of my points, but I shall see how it goes in the exam tomorrow. Thanks again and best of luck!

id say if your first 2 points are really strong then you'd be fine doing 2 points but if you have time i recommend adding another point even if it may be weaker

Depth is always better, but have three in your back pocket in case you find yourself not being able to recall anything in particular depth.

For the Constitution section of the course, everything bar the devolution section and the debates on further reform section are left. Does this mean there won’t be a question on a codified constitution, or a bill of rights, or anything like that?
@indiasisto92892 жыл бұрын
I mean there probably could - not directly, but they may ask a question like evaluate the view that more constitutional reform is needed, where you could do one paragraph on the strengths/weaknesses of an uncodified constitution and how this should/shouldn't be reformed, so its useful to know

@@indiasisto9289 ok cheers. And I’m a bit confused on the own knowledge bit of the source, because the Mark scheme says we shouldn’t really use our own knowledge?
@indiasisto92892 жыл бұрын
@@jamiengo2343 I think this means like make sure you choose your points from the source, for example, the source says FPTP produces strong and stable governments, and then bring your own knowledge in to explain the point, and adding relevant examples from your own knowledge, e.g Tony Blair’s 1997 government etc etc xx
