I know this comment wasn’t meant for me, but just a tip, you generally just need to make your usual set of handpaws and then, turned inside out, cut small slits in the fingers. I suggest sewing around the holes a couple times if your going to try this just so the fabric doesn’t stretch :)

If anyone is interested, I have a simpler alternative than making this from scratch. Things you'll need •leggings x2 (try to match with fur color and make sure 1 pair is larger) •foam/any padding •sewing materials •faux fur (any color) Step 1, put on the leggings and hot glue where you want the padding and digi grade. Once you have the shape that you want, put the other pair of leggings over the foam. After that, sew wefts of fur up and down the leg in a circular pattern and then line it. I dont know if this might help, but this is how I made my pair of legs for the renaissance festival :)

@@scotty6640 i just make 2 patterns: 1 digigrade and 1 plantigrade. Then i cut and sew the fur from digi pattern, and next i take cheap fabric and sew it( using planti pattern). I sew planti "legs" inside digi and stuff it.

I have a quick little question, if you’re making a 3/4 partial with plantigrade legs, how much fur would you need if it was all one color?

That's going to depend on your pattern sizes. Maybe 2 yards depending on your size and stature. I typically like to cut out patterns then I can decide and visualize how much I'll need. I wish I could give more of a clear cut answer but some people need more fur and some need less to make a suit. Without actual measurements and a duct tape dummy, it's hard to know how much you'll need.

I scoured everywhere for an answer as I didn't want to buy more than I needed. I think I ended up with 4 yards, maybe 4.5 yards at the end. It's not a complicated suit either so I totally understand wanting to know what you're getting into. Feel free to ask anything else and I'm totally willing to help.

so, I made a dutch angel dragon fursona, and I have all of those videos in my own playlist, and I was going to make him a partial, ( the half bodysuit kind ) and make him a special T-shirt that would go with the suit theme, and he also has hooves and idk where every maker gets those plastic hooves from for fursuits and I really wanted a pair, or even a tutorial on how to make them! And then I log on to youtube today and the two final video tutorials I needed was uploaded and now i'm so happy! TYSM Mugiwara! Also, once I get all of the materials I need ( thanks to your list of items I have every material/tool written in my writing journal for every part of my suit ) then on amino i'm going to make posts/updates every time I add something to the head or body pieces, or when I start a new body part. I hope there are a whole bunch of beginner makers out there just like me, who watch your amazing tutorials and are going to start their suit soon! also if you guys know any website that have plastic ccustom colored hooves pls comment a link furry Amino Name: Lavender or Lavy either one I forgot ( will edit this comment if I change the name )

Just a tip for beginners: don’t beat yourself up if it doesn’t turn out exactly how you want it because it will take practice to make it really really good so just trust the process and you never know it may turn out good first try

It's because of how the legs are made (I don't sew the pillows on or add pockets). If they are made to fit you then the pillows won't go anywhere

TO HELP THOSE WHO NEED IT WITH AMOUNT OF DUCTAPE Coming from a 5ft 5 female bean with a binded chest and a "medically healthy" weight and making an average digigrade leg and accounting for the 2nd wrap if ductape to cut off for patterning YOU WILL NEED 3 ROLLS OF 50MM BY 50METERS OF DUCTAPE! THAT IS ENOUGH FOR SIMILAR SIZE / STATURE AND IS A ROUNDED UP CALCULATION OF WHAT I HAVE USED FOLLOWING THIS TUTORIAL!

I’m making mine very soon but I’m not using foam I’m using Lycra materials for padding instead of foam. It is a lot easier to wash than foam.

Hey, I’m a bit late to the party, but I got a few questions: How many yards of fur would I probably need? I’m 15 and about 5’3, and my fursona is white with a black belly that reaches down to his crotch, and black feet that go up to his ankles (about upper-mid shin on a human). How many yards of black and how many of white? Also, how much foam would I need? How many yards of fabric for the pillows/padding and how many pounds of stuffing? Would 5lbs be enough? And for the elastics to hold the legs up, can I just buy regular pants suspenders off Amazon and alter them or would they be too weak? Sorry for all the questions, it’s my first time making a half-partial (or just fursuit in general!) and I’m a little lost :3

QUESTION: Can you make the suit like a lower half suit (how it already is) and make an upper half separately (like a jacket) So you can wear the suit like a partial, lower half suit, upper half suit or full body suit depending on the situation. Is that possible?
