I dont know you've got the answer or not since its been 6 months. Hiks i think you didnt push the sensor backward after pulled it down.

This was happening to me until I found this tutorial, follow all her steps esp.mark the buttonhole on the fabric and put the needle in the mark closest to you to begin sewing, very important step, I bet it will work
