Hi, Thanks for the video. I am trying to use gabor filter for my neural network and after using gabor filter, I should stack all the gabor filtered images together then feed it to my network, but gabor filter is not reducing the number of pixels (dimensions) of the original image so when I stack them, it gives me an image with big dimensions that I cannot use later. Do you have any suggestions for that?

Thanks for this excellent course. I am using Gabor filters to measure the angle of lines in an image. Can you recommend a metric to highlight the best theta from the bank of filters that I build using a similar iterative process to the one you presented here?. I am using compare_ssim but I'm getting two minimums in my range of thetas from 0 to pi. Perhaps it's because my lines are not just straight lines but have texture.

SSIM gives you structural similarity so not sure how you are using it to measure angles. I recommend using Hough transform to detect straight lines and the skimage package gives you angles. scikit-image.org/docs/dev/api/skimage.transform.html#skimage.transform.hough_line
