you are a born teacher. Your work is amazing and so inspiring. I'm super keen to try something like this, but need to buy so many supplies. Have you done a tutorial on how to get the original pencil sketch. Do you use the grid method. ....sorry for such a silly question but i'm clueless

Great tutorial! I like how your drawing actually still looks like a drawing and every little detail isn't exactly like in the reference. I think you improved on your reference, your drawing looks even better than the photo! I just discovered your art and videos when you tagged Lisa to do the TMI tag. :) You are brilliant!

Hi Shel.. ok. so I'm doing my 1st own drawing applying what you've taught; and had a couple of questions.. 1st what is the difference b/w graphite paper and transfer paper. I ised transfer paper and I want to erase some marks I put and it won't erase. would love to send u ou a pic bit I don't know how..How do I do that?

Hi Belinda, you can PM me on facebook with photos. Transfer and graphite paper is the same thing. I dont like using that paper and use a graphite stick instead.

These are all colored pencils for a water? I mean water color pencils?

Hi, the pencils are prismcolor premier pencils and faber-castell polychromos pencils. And to blend I dip a paint brush into Art Spectrums odourless solvent and then blend the pencils colours on the paper.

Aha, so these are not watercololour pencils? I understand. I live in Germany and I don´t know what ist this "odourless solvent"?? I can not find this in Germany. Is this a kind of oil? What is the ingredient of this solvent?

Tierkunst Atelier solvent is a kind of paint thinner :) Try an find something that is odorless if you can :)

Hello Sheldene, thanks for your patience :-) And I can tell you something, if you want to know and someone will ask you, in Europe I find "Zest-it pencil blend" puh... I surched about 3 days :-) I have tried something else but it was not good :-( And it was very funny, because at first I asked in my favorite big artiste whole sale and they say "funny, there was a person she asked also for this USA/Australian solvent, but we don´t have this in germany" haha... I meant the sketch you started with in the video. Getting the underlying sketch and pencil marks that imply shade and texture right must make it easier to then build up the final artwork. Hope that makes sense.
