THANK YOU! I've been using the brush tool in the pixel persona and manually colouring in - takes too damn long and is pixelated as hell. So helpful 👍

Brilliant tutorial. I was so stumped on how to colour my art. Totally love Affinity software xx

thank you this is the only thing that's worked for me ;o; !!! i embarrassingly spent hours trying to do something like this (first day in app)

Nice to see a workaround for this. I wish they had a live paint bucket tool though. At one point you said you are color blind. To what degree? It would be interesting to hear how you do illustration work regardless of that. :) I personally never met a color-blind vector artist.

Anthony Baumgartner I wish they had a live paint bucket tool too, among other things. Illustrator just chews up Affinity in terms of features. I am red/green/blue color blind and i normally use RGB to determine colors since it goes by numbers. I also use color picker using photo references and color hexidecimals. Btw I found a better method for color filling where you probably dont need to adjust anchor points. Basically before you do the divide function, make sure the stroke is set to 1pt or less, this makes the filled areas larger. Then you can adjust the lineart/stroke width as the final step. Thanks for watching!

Crazy stuff, but it worked for my design here. I thought it would be a easier way, but I guess VECTOR ART it's just another way of thinking, so we have to adapt to it. Thanks a lot!

This is an interesting method, but my concern is that if strokes are re-edited, how do you quickly make changes in the fill layer without recoloring everything in? Using the Node Tool to touch up the gap space can be a hassle. But you have offered a really good tip, and I am interested to explore this method more closely.

Have you tried this in Affinity 2.0? When I go to divide, the shapes cease to exist ;(
