You’ve become one of my favorite guitar players. To me your riffs never sound clichéd or formulaic.

Love your content. I'm amazed on how you manage to stay close to the fans with such humble approach and nice attitude. I appreciate it. I'll travel 12 hours in June to watch your show in Vitoria. Great band! You inspire me to play guitar! Thanks for everything

I really like your playing and your tone. One of my favourite song ever is Diamond. I never get bored of it. Keep up the good work, quality content.

Thanks for this. I really like this technique and i'll definitely be using it! My problem is that when i come up with a good riff i like, i record it and then i tend to instantly put drums on it, and double it, and already start 'engineering' and get way too much into detail about it which then often results in that after that i don't have any idea anymore what else i can play that fits to it, because the initial vibe and energy of it is gone by then... this technique you're showing is much better in this regard because you just keep going and not care about what fits or what doesn't at the time of recording. Oh and congratutlations to making a new person :)

Hey man, really enjoyed this. I'm a big fan of 'All Them Witches' and your channel. I'd been hoping you uploaded something on song writing. Got me fully inspired to get recording! Many thanks.

Really inspiring, Ben. I always enjoy your recording videos (like that epic Silver to Rust solo session). I think it's like watching sports is for some people. Congrats on the new addition to the family!

Hey Ben! Another great lesson. Can you make a tutorial on how did you compose Everest? I have watched the tutorial on how to play it, but I'm really interested in knowing how did you write it? It sounds classical to me, but not really. Looking forward :)

Ben you are the man. Thanks for sharing! My wife just got a fancy MacBook. Time to buy an interface and start crackin skulls.

Wicked man! What is your setup here? Simply guitar into interface into logic? How much stuff do you play like this vs an amp? I have been struggling to find motivation to play myself and thinking some new sounds (i.e. using software) would spark that fuse vs using my same amp and pedals!

Very interesting. I'm not familiar with Logic, and all these DI tools. Does the click come from this Logic too? How does it "see" the click to lay out the grid?

This is so appreciated, maybe my favorite video of yours yet! I love being able to see how you write songs, especially how you start from a blank slate and create something interesting so quickly. I really feel like I got a cornerstone-sized chunk of songwriting knowledge with this, so thanks for sharing!
